I go to the fill center in New Prague MN. It cost $350 the first time and $165 every time after. The only down side is that they don't offer fluroscopy, but I haven't had any problems there at all. Hope that helps!

I know most are saying you are an inspiration and its true, take these words to heart. After looking at your results and reading your positive posts, I decided to get banded and am now on my second week of liquids after being banded on the 9th. You keep me motivated, so thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your hard work is really showing, you're already hot, 33 more pounds and you'll be a supermodel!!!! :lb21:

hi everyone,

had a really rough day today. lots of gas. a really upset stomach. couldn't drink more than a bottle of liquid yoghurt and some water. only got half way thru the bottle of vitamin water. i feel blah and light-headed. and the more i tried to drink, the more upset my intestines got. walking hasn't really helped. i am just tired now and will probably just go to sleep soon.

i don't know if it is just the bacteria in the yoghurt. i started drinking yoghurt yesterday. i started feeling bad after i drank some lemonade at lunch. maybe the bacteria feeding on the carbs in the lemonade. i got banded 8 days ago.

on the other hand, i did get my first "have you lost weight?" comment today! that was good. but, time to rest now.

Sorry you're feeling so crummy. I was feeling the same way for a couple of days and felt like I was napping all the time. I started creamy soups today and I feel SOOOOO much better. For the first time in 8 days I felt human again (and full!). Hang in there, any maybe try adding some soup, Man was not made to live on clear liquids (or drinkable yougurt for that matter!)! thanks everyone will just have to keep the faith and pray for answers I figure if all else fails I will pay to go back to the occ just will need to budget it in . sorry that it took so long to thank all that replyed had to go to Iowa for the week to help pregant daughters yes both are pregant and think they need their mom once in a while and no I am not complaining I did get to spend quality time with my 1 year old grandson that I just love to peices

Someone told me that the bariatric center in Grinnell Iowa does fills for outside patients and they cost $150. I haven't called them yet to make sure, but if its true, I'll be going there.

I'm at the OCC right now....had my band put in at 10:30 this morning....a little bit of pain at the port site....but they just gave me some meds for it. Am feeling good overall! I will get discharged tomorrow and be home on Saturday!!! The people here are soooo nice!

Sorry to hear about your predicament. Just wanted to say that I feel your pain -- I'm in the same boat.

My surgery is scheduled for the 21st. I've been trying to organize where I'll get my fills when that time comes, because a flight to san diego from where I live is about $680 after a 4/5 hr drive to an airport.

I've found some fill places in the Minneapolis area that will take me (some won't even say anything once I tell them I'm intending to have surgery in Mexico) -- but none seem to offer fluro.

I would be more comfortable and willing to pay extra for the fluro -- but not at the price of $1000 more if I went back to the OCC.

Could you tell me the fill places in Minneapolis area? I saw the one that is through Fill Centers USA, just wondering if there are any more? I live in northern Iowa and work in Minnesota so it wouldn't be a bad drive for me. I'd love to go back to TJ, but I'm afraid with the flights it would get to spendy, not to mention time consuming. Thanks for any help you can give me!

Okay you girls scheduled for the 9th and 10th....we only have a few days to go!!! How's everyone doing on their preop diets? I can't believe I just hit 20 lbs! I keep having dreams that I get the band, and then I can't lose anything!!!

Oh my gosh, you've lost 20lbs!?! I feel like such a loser (but not in the good way)! I keep teetering back and forth. I'm so afraid of being turned away when I get there for pre ops on the 8th! Way to go, you're definitely already on your way to losing a lot! See you down there!

I am scheduled for my surgery at the OCC on July 9th, and am very excited. Anyone else going around that time????

I, too, will be getting my lap band on the 9th. I'm so excited (and also a little scared!) I just keep thinking about how next year at this time I'll be feeling so much better and that keeps me positive!
