Hello all, I was banded at OCC on Friday July 18. That makes me 11 days out and 10 days left on liquids . I am having this troubling pain in my stomach. My stomach pouch cramps and feels dry. Is this normal feeling??? I am drinking my atleast 8 glasses of water a day and consuming about 500 - 700 colories a day... Thanks in advance for your input... J

I did it... I have set the date.... Traveled down to TJ yesterday and met with Dr. Ortiz and his wonderful staff. What a great experience. All the doubt I had about surgery in TJ are gone. I will be banded by Dr. Ortiz on July 24, 2008... A new chapter in my life will begin. > =D>
I have had a date change for surgery. The new date is now July 18. Anyone going to be there???

Welcome Jeremy!
That's great that you were able to visit before surgery! I'm in NY, so that would be a big trip.
I can imagine that the liquids phase will be especially difficult for you as a chef (I'm assuming)! I guess you'll have to be very careful about tasting things...
Good luck!

Hey Susan, Good luck on the 24th...
Yes, I am a Chef Instructor at a community college and off for the summer. I will just finish my liquid diet phase when I return.

Thanks for the big welcome and support.
Broth....is boring. I am a big fan of Miso soup; wonder if I can consume it without the tofu and seaweed...Has anyone tried.

First Fill Question

laadeedaa, I was just in TJ this past Saturday for my first fill...What a great experience. Walked across the border; got a cab $5 to OCC. The fill took about fifteen minutes; the needle is large , but I did not feel a thing...I hate needles... I drank 8 oz of water and was on my way back to the border.
