  1. So last night, my wife and kids went to dinner and I was left to fend for myself on the way home from work. I stopped at wendy's and got a large chili, knowing that it was an EVIL MUSHY. I got it home put it in the blender with a TBS of sour cream, blended it was very mushy. then I put it through a strainer so it was "CHILI WATER" I got my chili fix in and had a full liquid meal.

This was definitly not mushy, it was thinner that the yogurt drinks.

P.S. The large container gave me 375ml of liquid.

  2. We left TJ a day early and spent a night in San Diego. I made a point to find a Trader Joe's Supermarket. If you don't have one near you (closest to me is in Seattle, I'm in Alberta) try and stop by on your wayto the Airport (there is one on PCH) and get thier liquid broth concentrates. I got teriyaki vegatable, Beef and Chicken, They are all excellent, mix instantly in hot water from an everpresent Starbucks and are the size of a splenda packet. I also got the instant Miso soup that I ran through a loose leaf tea strainer into my cup to keep the bits of tofu out. I lived on these 4 staples for the first week. Now I am having the Campbells Gardenay soups through a strainer or my blender.

  3. I had never tried the chili before I read this, so I tried it a couple of times before I was banded. Loved it and thought that it would be my saving meal during the liquid / mushy phase... When I got to the clinic and was told "No more mushy phase." I wondered why I had bothered to liquify a perfectly good cup of chili... Now I am looking forward to having it on the 9th of September when I can eat solids again.
