I am now 6 days post-op and just having questions about if I did the right thing. I had a large hiatal hernia fixed. Dr. Martinez said it was one of the biggest he has seen. I am in a lot of pain and feel like I will never be able to eat or breathe normally again. Everything hurts going down, I am nauseated most of the time, I have the runs really bad, it hurts to take a deep breath. I know I am still healing from sugery, but these are just the questions going through my mind. Is this a good thing to have done?

Julie, hope things are well, i see that your posting is 2 years old, how did it go?

I have scheduled my first fill for Aug 22nd. I am very excited for the next step in the lapband process. I have been lossing weight but it has been kind of slow. I still can eat a good amount but no where near what I ate pre surg and not as often. Any suggestions or tips or just what I might experience with my first fill?

I am quite new, but when you think about it, it took a long time to get it on so it might take a bit of time to loose it all

Congratulation, you deserve it, you did it, you are an inspiration to all others, this proves that the system works if you follow it. I am being banded august 26, started my weight loss , prior to surgery, will keep you posted.
