  1. I am the only one I know of that has a 14cc band. I was a 55 BMI at the time of surgery. I was started with 3.4cc's at surgery. I have had 2 fills but my last one was an overfill. Right now I am at 6.7 cc's but I can not keep any solids down. So I am getting that fixed on Monday. But as for band size I usually here of only 4 and 10's. I think it depends on your size at the time of surgery.

  3. Hey there,

I have good news for you. I was banded at Northwest Weight Loss Surgery just a week and a half ago and I was just looking at there web site again. They have teen program. They are able to band teens starting at age 14. That is all I know about it but you should check out the website. I don't know where you are from, but no matter what they are worth the trip. I have never been treated so awesome in my life. The website is www.NWWLS.com

    Check it out-they are great!

  4. I congratulate you on making the desicion to have your surgery. I was banded on the 11th of November. I was having issues about a week before surgery. I am addicted to food. My problem was wether I was hungry or not I would eat if something looked good. I had to get to the bottom of this problem before going into surgery. So I bought a book. It is called "When Food is Love". It really helped. Basically it comes down to everyone has a reason of why they are overweight. This book really helps with overcoming whatever issue it is. It teaches you that you are worth being healthy and that there is love in many other situations (rather than a cheeseburger in front of you). Good luck and don't be scared. I am so happy I went through with it. I still love food but I know that am worth so much more than that.

  5. I am scheduled for surgery on 12/12. I take 4 types of prescription (for heart condition) meds. I see alot of talk on liquid vitamins. Are you not able to have solid pills after the surgery? If so, for how long?

I guess I could crush in a teaspoon of water?????

Congrats on the surgery. I just had my surgery on the 11th of November and it seems that the concern of taking medication is the pill size. I had to take gas x after surgery and the pills were small so it was ok to take them. They offer the liquid pain medicine and vitamins to make it easier for you. Hopefully your heart medications are not big pills.
