I am having my port repositioned July 8th. I didn't realize that the discomfort wasn't normal. Can't wait.

This is not an easy fix even with the lapband. You have to WANT this. Even then it is still work. The mental adjustment is very hard also. You have to get control on your cravings and concentrate on getting the good foods in you, not junk. The junk will always be there, your health won't. I am not trying to discourage you, rather encourage you to be strong, determined and set.

Look forward to a change of life. This process will also include changing a way of thinking that are bodies and minds have gotten use to. We now have the opportunity to change that with the help of the band. I am excited for you that you are getting ready for your surgery. There is absolutely no reason to be afraid. Congratulations. It is such a huge investment. Wait until your grandaughter says "grandma you're getting thinner". That is what my 5yr old grandaughter told me over Thanksgiving. Out of the mouth of babes. I like you can't wait to play with my grandchildren instead of watching on the sidelines.
