    HELLO EVERYONE!!!

    WELL I GOT BANDED ON 03/17/09 I LOST 11 POUNDS ON THE POST-OP DIET, I STARTED SOLIDS AND GAIND 3 POUNDS AND THATS HOW I BEEN SINCE I STARTED SOLIDS ON 04/06. IS THAT NORMAL? TO NOT LOOSE MORE WEIGHT TO BE STUCK LIKE THAT ANY SUGGESTIONS, COMMENTS WOULD BE VERY APPRECIATED, OH ALSO I FEEL LIKE I CAN EAT JUST AS BEFOR I GOT BANDED I JUST TRY NOT TO I STOP ON MY OWN BUT IF I WAITED UNTIL I WAS FULL I CAN KEEP ON EATING IS THAT ALSO NORMAL?

    P.S. I DONT GET MY FIRST UNTIL 05/09/09

    Thank you all for the support!!!

    I have been walking and sipping thats no problem, I havent had the shoulder pain eigther , today I am on day 5 and the sorness is not as bad and I can lay on that side again the only darn problem is the burping it just wont come out, the gas is coming out the other side though lol but I just want to be able to give one big burp, when i feel like I have to burp I just get pain on my chest and the most I get to do is like a hicup and thats it no burp :angry: but I guess little by little Ill return back to normal

    finally after all the waiting I am finally banded, but I dont feel so good my side is so sore I guess its where the port is at, I want to burp so bad and I cant it just hurts for a momment ther I actually thought ''maybe this wasnt a good idea afterall" but I know the end results are well worth it. Can anyone please tell me how long it took for you to feel normal again? by normal I mean like not having pain where the port is at and being able to burp again? :unsure:

    WOW, I cant belive this day is finally here it seems unreal to me I waiting and saved money for years for this momment and finally all the saving and waiting has paid off, If all goes well Ill finally get banded on Monday and Iam so excited please pray for me that all goes well and that I return well to my family,

    but I have to admit that iam very nervous, scared and sad nervous because this is surgery ill be going to and I hope there no complications, scared because iam soooooooo afraid of airplanes lol and sad because I have to leave my kids alone for 4 days and I have never been away from theme this long and I keep thinking about somthing happining and not ever seeing theme again O just the thought makes me want to cry :lb12: but I have faith that all will go well and I know Iam not the first one nor the last one that goes through something like this.

    so Ill be letting you guys know when I finally cross over to bandland lol wish me well ill be leaving tomorrow morning to the airport and hopefully be at the hotel in the evening

    You dont need to exchange your money, they def prefer american money! However, you will need small bills because a lot of people wont be able to make change for you (the cab drivers always had american change though). ON the last day I was down to 20's and not even the hotel could give me american change for tipping. People got big tips that day! Also, one problem I ran into....pay phones (I got nonexistant cell service) and vending machines only take peso and getting change for a dollar was IMPOSSIBLE.

    OK so ill make shure I take change, and yeah they prefer american money because 1 dollar is worth 10 pesos so if you tip someone 5 dollars your actually giving theme 50 pesos lol sometimes more becuase sometimes the dollar is worth more about 11 pesos but if the service is good then I guess its worth it and yeah payphones in Mexico only work with phone cards so you have to find a store that sales phone cards in order to us a payphone thats a hassle do you guys know if we can call from the hospital or hotel to the US?

    Thank you guys ><' for your support Iam going to print these replys and show theme to my mom or sould I say translate theme to her lol I feel so much better, but I almost had my surgery postponed :lb12: I havent lost all the necessarry weight but I spoke with Dr,Miranda and the surgery still on yaaay!!!!

    O and dont worry about the Fabi-lous I get that everywhere my whole name is Fabiola and some people cant say it so they just call me FABULOUS which is fine with me :P

    Stealmagnolia when is your surgery? I might be going back in april for my first fill

    Hello everyone!!!

    well as you can see in my ticker ill be banded in a few days, but thats not the problem, the problem is thats now that my surgery date is just a few days away it finally hit my mom that Iam actually going through with this and now shes scared to death of me going alone to TJ she keeps telling me of all these bad things that can happen and to postpone the surgery untill I find someone to go with me, which is something I dont want to do since I waiting for years for this day to come

    but all that stuff shes been telling have me thinking now and I am having second thoughts about going, so I just want to hear from others that like me went alone and came back home safe, I just want to know everything will be alright and that I shouldnt be scared of traveling alone to OCC :unsure:

    Hi Fabi! My name is Krista and I will be flying in on the 16th late afternoon and I'm getting my band on the 17th! I will be with my husband Eli. I look forward to meeting you. I'm 35, from Toronto Candad and I have 2 girls, 4 and almost 2. I still haven't started my pre op diet...I keep stalling. It's so hard to cook for kids and supervise them so that the food actually gets into them, while not eating!!! I'd like to do at least 2 weeks of just protien shakes and salads...but we'll see. How are you doing?

    Hi, Krista nice to meet you :D I hope I do get to see you that day Ill be flying alone my hubby to scared to get on a plane lol plus he has to stay and take care of the kids we have 4 10,8,3,1 and I sooo know what you mean about having to cook for your family and not being able to eat I to have been struggling with my pre-op diet but we have to do it remember where going to have 21 days of just liquids. Well good luck with everything and again I really hope I get to see u guys and fatfreeme there so I can have some one to talk to there :D
