  1. Wow...that is a big price difference. Now I see why so many people on here go there. I am lucky that insurance covered mine.

I too have an office job but I took a week off....mainly because I have been with my company forever and have a ton of sick time. My boss was very supportive. My mom was here from Alabama up until today so I wanted to spend time with her too. Now I have to make my own soup!

My tummy does get sore when I am sitting at my desk at home. Wear clothes that are loose around your waiste. I go back to work on Monday. I will let you know how I do sitting at my desk. I'm an Accountant but I will make myself get up and walk around. I'm sure I will get lots of "your back" and "where did you go?". I only told a few people at work but all my family and friends knew about this.

  2. Jodi119 - did you get banded at the OCC?

I got banded in Las Vegas. After 7 months of waiting, my insurance decided to cover it. I was suprised how much Lortab he gave. I still have over half of it left over.

Is going to OCC that much cheaper than having it done locally?

I had gas issues too but was able to burp so it passed with not being too bad. Definitely take shorts walks as it sure did help me.

  3. I wish my doctor was nicer but oh well...he was recommended by my OB-GYN and primary doctor so that is why I went with him. Did you have your surgery in Mexico? I have to wasit six months and do the supervised weight loss so that my insurnace would cover it.

I was addicted to soda as well and boy that has been hard but I am doing pretty good without it. I go back to work on Monday so I will have to adjust there as well. Not many people at work know what kind of surgery I was out for so I guess I will let the cat out of the bag now.

  4. My surgen is Dr. Teng here in Las Vegas. He is a good surgen but has absolutely no bedside manner. He is very strict about eating and I can't have mushly things until week 3 and then it must be pureed. I have been "eating" broth and yogurt starting with my 2nd week. I am starting to get hungry more so I am ready for the mushy food of week 3. My calories right now are about 350 - 400 a day.

Are taking all of the vitamins now? They have me on 4 different ones and I am having trouble getting them all down. I am going to look for different brands to see if I can find some that taste better.
