This is the front facade of an amazing little carnival themed hotel in Rosarito. It looks like it's a spring break place, so it was closed (I think) for the season. The courtyard opened onto the main street so I wandered in and explored. It was amazing how much stuff they managed to cram into the space! The off-season timing made the place a private wonderland of juxtaposition. The bright colors and wacky installations should have felt out of place in the absence of drunken revelers, but I felt like the place was hibernating. It was oddly peaceful, certainly unusual, and to me, beautiful.

The courtyard of a carnival themed hotel in Rosarito. It's the head of a snake water slide, I think. I remember wondering how many spring breakers have lost an arm to that tooth!
