  1. God day,,

I was banded almost two years ago at the OCC and have struggled with gas pain ever since

Sometimes I find at night it is hard to sleep and feel like I can burp the alphabet if I needed to (this is during the day and at night)The pain I have seems to not be in the stomach but more so inbetween the should blades and inbetween the top of my rib cage.   Sometimes it feels like gas bubbles rising and it is painful. Gas pills do not work.........   Is this common? What can I do to subside this pain?

Also, when I get stressed or excited I get an aching pain (inbetween my shoulder baldes)

I do not know if this could all be related. Am I just ultra sensitive? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated

    Kindest,

    Caroline

  2. Good luck on your big day!!! I stayed in San Diego the night before so i'm no help we had some really good seafood. They put me through a day early so I probably ate way more than I should have the night before but I didn't know i'd be going in a day early at the time. Stayed at Lucerna and the broth was great. The bullion made me want to gag so except for the Lucerna broth until I got home I stayed on gatorade and special k20 water. Once home I drained soup and just drank the juice.

Have a great trip is is a piece of cake!!

Thanks so much for your post. And to everyone else as well. I am here at the Mariott and I think I may have lyed in the sun o long! lets hope not!

  3. I agree with Angie. I traveled down alone and had no problem whatsoever. I stayed at the Marriott and they have a little store on site where you could buy water and juice. I found all I had to do was ask and they brought me bottled water free anyways. I did take along packages of chicken broth and Crystal light. Taking a cab is the way to go if you are alone. The people were very friendly and more than willing to help me out.

    Good luck with your surgery.

    Debbie

where did you eat for your last meal? what did you have? I will be staying at the Mariott Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  4. I broughts some bullion granules - NOT the cubes with me. My travel was a good days travel and the airports are not clear liquid friendly.

I also brought crystal light on the go packets that came in very handy. I didn't want to spend any cash on food and save my money on fun items to bring home. Which I did. I packed light so I had room for my gifts in my carry on. Which was damn heavy and difficult for me to lift above my head after surgery....

If I were you, I wouldn't bother with the protein shakes ect, there will be rest you can eat at. We had something light and simple the night before.

what can I eat near the Mariott for my last meal???
