I googled questions to ask a plastic surgeon about what surgery I wanted it. Found some great sites with questions. I wrote down the ones pertinent to me and that is what I asked.

I also am a nurse so had lots of medical questions I wanted answered regarding OR, drugs and qualifications and experience of staff.

Congratulations on your massive weight loss. I see that you had your WLS in Mexico, and so did I. I had mine last year with Dr. Corvala in TJ.

I am having my PS on December 15th in TJ with Dr. Alejandro Quiroz . He is the owner of Cosmed. The web site is cosmedclinic.com.

I am scheduled to have all 3 of the surgeries that you were inquiring about.

*Lower body lift

*Full brachioplasty

*Breast augmentation with breast lift.

I am a registered nurse and did my homework with both my lapband with Dr. Corvala, as well as with Dr. Quiroz with these 3 upcoming surgeries.

I checked both Dr.s out thoroughly and I am ready to go. I am counting down the days until December 15th.

Ok So I was band on May 20th, I stood an extra day to have a consultation at Cosmed.

While there I did some Botox And lips fillers also Fraxel This way when I go back in 6 weeks I can have my last session of fraxel done.

My face is swollen and the lips need to go down a bit but I am loving it...... Also everyone was Great there, & the prices were un beatable!

Can I ask what they charged for all of this?

Can you just provide me with your email address? I dont use yahoo. I would certainly be interested in speaking with you. My surgeon is going on vacation a few days after my surgery. I will follow up with one of his partners on my 4th & 5th post op days. I am having so much work done that I am his only surgery on December 15th. As far as the info his surgery coordinator provided me, my surgery was the last opening the week of December 13th, as again he is going on vaca on the 18th.

I have experienced alot of hair loss as well since my banding last October. The reason for the hair loss is that your protein intake is not enough. If you weigh 200 lbs you should be taking in approx 90-100 grams of protein per day. They say a safe way to calculate what you should be taking in for protein is to divide your weight in half and that should be your grams of protein you should take in EVERY day.

Hello everyone I am new to the boards, but I have been reading posts for awhile now, I have also received my quotes back from Dr. Campos and I will be getting Lipo to my lower, upper back and waist line. Also a breast lift with implants and an extended tummy tuck with fat grafting to my buttocks. I am planning on going around the end of March 2011 or the first week of April 2011. I will be traveling from Colorado, and thought I would at least try the boards to see if anyone plans to be going around that time so we can maybe split expenses or to just have a buddy to schedule around that time period with. Also if you can share your experiences with Campos, is a passport needed etc.....

By the way the reason why I am getting so much plastics done is because I went from 310lbs to 165lbs, and now I have a lot of loose skin that needs to be corrected. Had Gastric Bypass surgery back in 02/07.

What surgery is Dr. Quiroz going to do on you, if you dont mind me asking? I am scheduled for my 3 procedures on December 15, 2010 @ 7:30 a.m.

I had a LBL with him in Jan 2009 I am thrilled with the results, however I had thigh lipo and I wouldnt waste my money on that again. I saw no improvement at all.I am planning on doing a lift and augmentation in March of 2011 with him. The main thing I need to stress is that if you need any paperwork filled out for jobs,benefits,disability get it done while you are there. Joyce has a major work overload and once your gone it takes forever to get anything done.

Thank you for your response. Is there anything in perticular that you can think of that would be beneficil for me to know ahead of time. Maybe something that you discovered after surgery that you wish you would have known ahead of time.

Also, did you have external sutures or staples, or did he use the glue on you. How are your scars? Any AND all info you could give me would be greatly appreciated.

I have 18 days off, which kind of worries me. With the LBL, breast aug. with lift, AND full brachioplasty I know I will need every bit of that.

I didnt know that you could have work papers done. Is one eligible for disability benefits with an elective plastic surgery?

I did. The results for me were amazing. My lipo made a HUGE difference on my waist - HUGE. I had implants placed, an old c section scar fixed, lipo and he put that fat into my butt cheeks - that is what I would skip. It looks okay, but honestly - no one but me would know, and that part was NOT worth the HORRIBLE pain I had in that area.

I have sent 2 friends, and my mom and sister and 3 other friends will be going to see him within the next year.

Thank you for your response. Did you have the lower body lift done? I am having the lower body lift, along with full brachioplasty AND breast augmentation with lift. I have 18 days off of work, and wondering if I will be ready to return to work then. From previous surgeries I have had I have a high pain tolerance and have always done very well. I am a nurse in an outpatient infusion clinic , so other than overhead reaching my job is pretty basic. no lifting of patients etc. The other nurse i work with will be doing the overhead reaching for me.

Do you have any other recommendations for me or concerns. Maybe things that you wish you would hasve known going into it?

I had Lapband surgery last October in Tijuana, Mexico with Dr. Corvalla. I cannot tell everyone what a positive experience it was. I have 23 more pounds to reach goal and have scheduled post-bariatric surgeries for December 15, 2010.

After doing a great deal of exploring for surgeons,and thoroughly checking out credentials, I have chosen Dr. Alejandro Quiroz at Cosmed Clinic (www.cosmedclinic.com).

I am scheduled to have a lower body lift, full upper arm brachioplasty, and a breast augmentation with breast lift. I would be very happy if anyone who has had any or all of these surgeries with Dr. Quiroz could respond. I know that his reputation is top notch, but would like to hear about any experiences. I am interested in information about the scars from the procedures. Any and all info would be greatly appreciated.
