I had my surgery on November 1st, everything went well except they tried to release me when I was not ready to go to the hotel yet (still vomiting until I got out the door) Dr. Ortiz came the next day and spoke to everyone about my situation and it seemed to get resolved. Dr. Oritz is a highly skilled surgeon and overall I am happy with my experience. I have lost 24 pounds to date; however still on full liquids and hope to move to mushies next week. No real issues now, just enjoying the re-le...

we are human and will ocasionally have slip ups. Don't get down on yourself over it, get back on the wagon and keep going!

Just got back from OCC Sunday morning. Please do on their website and research Plication...new procedure...really GREAT...I switched and had Plication done. It is reversible...no one told me until my day of surgery there so I didn't have enough time to research...just a heads up.

13 days until I am sleeved. I am so excited, yet anxious. Getting used to the liquids already.

Trying really hard to drink the protein shakes and eating soup for my pre-op diet. Alot harder than I thought!

I'm flying down to San Diego in a couple hrs. No kidding the pre-op was hard! Can't wait till I'm not hungry all the time. Tomorrow IT happens!

18 days until surgery. I am currently in Instanbul for work and had to find protein shakes.Guess what Instanbul has 13 GNC stores .. who knew?

Sounds like all is going well!! I am 25 days and counting. Losing weight but it is tough as I cannot cook for myself on the ship. Hope your journey is going well, keep in touch!

Scheduled my VSG today with Dr. Ortiz on November 1st. Anyone going on this date as I am going by myself and I am a bit anxious.

How did you decide to go with Dr. Ortiz. I am thinking too to take him. Did you know somebody before who had this done.

I do not know anyone; however have done my research and he seems the best option to go with as my insurance will not pay.
