Well I got my band in August 2007 here in the USA, it's a 10cc band that has been filled to 8cc for over 3 years now. My weight at the time of banding was 410lbs, my weight today 382 (it's down to 374 now due to preo-op diet). So only losing 28lbs in 3 years & 8 months constitutes a failure in my opinion. A friend got the Gastric Sleeve & 9 months later has lost 156lbs.
