  1. THANKS I APPRECIATE THE RESPONSE. I SPOKE TO A LOCAL DR THAT SAID HE HAD NEVER HEARD OF THAT. I AM ONLY TAKING THE BAND OUT BECAUSE IT JUST HASN'T WORKED FOR ME. I WAS NEVER ABLE TO FIND MY SWEET SPOT SO I JUST KEPT IT TOO TIGHT WHICH WAS MISERABLE. AFTER RESEARCHING THE SLEEVE I DECIDED IT WAS JUST SOMETHING I WANTED INSTEAD.

MY AUNT WAS THE ONE THAT BROUGHT UP KEEPING THE BAND ALSO. SHE JUST THOUGHT SINCE I PAID FOR IT ANT IT WASN'T BOTHERING ME WHY COULDN'T I KEEP IT OPEN. THEN IF MY SLEEVE EVER STRECHED I COULD ALWAYS HAVE IT FILLED. IM NOT SURE IF THAT IS SOMETHING I WOULD WANT TO DO OR NOT EVEN IF IT WAS POSSIBLE.

  2. I BOOKED MY APPOINTMENT FOR MAY 12 A LITTLE OVER A WEEK AGO AND NEED TO LOSE 22LBS. LOSEING THE WEIGHT ISN'T MY WORRY, IT WAS REPLACING MY PASSPORT AND GETTING MY BAND UNFILLED (I DIDN'T HAVE A LOCAL DR.). I WAS ABLE TO APPLY FOR THE PASSPORT AND EXPIDITE IT AND FIND A LOCAL DR THAT UNFILLED MY BAND. I AM NOW JUST FOCUSING ON THE DIET AND WEIGHT LOSS.

  3. I was wondering what my calorie intake should be during the post op diet? I know they say 60 grams of protein but also what should my fat and carb intake be? The reason I'm asking is I was worried I want getting enough calories so I ate a small cup of straine.d potato soup, which is kind of fattening

  4. I am doing ok. The recovery is perfect. I have no pain and am almost back to my normal routine. I am sticking to the post op diet, but it is hard. I really have to remind myself why i am doing this. Last night I was at my pool tournament and everyone was eating pizza. It is so hard to smell the food and know I only get protein shakes. At the same time, I believe it is a mental battle that will help my long term results.

How is everything with you? I hope your recovery is going as good as mine!

  5. Hi I am having my lapband surgery on Friday and my biggest fear with it is the liquid post op diet. I was just wondering how everyone has gotten through it. I am so worried that I won't be able to stick to it. Is it easier after the surgery? Has anyone had problems with it? I want this to work.

Also, I go to the gym several days a week. How long after the surgery should I wait before I start working out again?
