Hi...I had my placation done in may 2013, I haven't had that great of luck with it. I have only lost 13 lbs and put 2 of it back on! Ugh

Not thinking this was such a great thing....really disappoint and sad. I have really tried, another waste of my money! Has anyone else had the same thing?

hi there MissiD------ I had my surgery on May 3rd, recovery was good when the heartburn went away. I am glad I had the surgery but I am a bit frustrated on how slow things are going for me, haven't lost as fast as I would have liked. I am staying steady at one weight for now. I have only lost about 9lbs since my surgery. In total with the pre op diet I am down a total of 31 lbs. I know I need to be more understanding to myself with loosing weight but this is hard for me for I want things to happen instantly. I hope your surgery went well, and that you have some good results with having weight loss surgery. Please let me know how you are doing also.

It has been one week since my surgery. Things have been going okay, yesterday I noticed the heartburn pain in chest was no longer there ...what a relief that is. That to me was the most bothersome effect of my surgery. All went well with the surgery....the nurse was not easy on my iv got a lot of bruising on arms, hands but that to is healing.

Made it to the marriott....I am winding down and all ready for tomorrow! I am so ready for a brand new me.

Today is Friday...just one week from my surgery. I just can't believe my turn is finally coming!! I saw my primary dr today for a check-up on things just to make sure I had NO surprises when I arrive at the OCC, also to comfort my family that I was in good hands! My dr said everything was fine and that I should have no troubles or any surprises with health....but the best news he gave me was I lost 18lbs. was so proud of myself and so excited that I know that I would reach the weight that I wanted to be for surgery!!! To all of you that have surgery behind you and are on the new healthy path in life...grab it by the horns, and embrace a new beginning to a health!....I to, very soon will be joining that journey and not looking back only forward to the whole new me!!

So far so good on diet, hasn't been to hard. I am thankful I need to do liquid diet for only three days before surgery So May 1st I will be doing that......yikes my day is coming quickly! Thanks to all for posting your experiences at Occ, its very comforting to hear everyones stories I can't wait to share mine........
