I was just wondering if there are any bandsters out there in Florida. I met some great people when I was in TJ, but it would be nice if there were someone around that we could occasionally get together for support and maybe socialize with someone that understands what we are dealing with. It would be very cool to be able to get together.

Congratulations Jazz on making the choice to be banded! My surgery was about 30 minutes. No dumping so far which is great. So for me no dumping has equaled no pain. I only had soreness around in incision sites. I have had good weightloss since my surgery as you can see in my ticker below.

Keep us up to date on your diet progress I had to lose a large amount also because of my high BMI. I just focused on banding my brain before my body by in-taking small portions at a time when I drank the shakes. Sip, sip, sip and you will train yourself for life with the band. Call or email Dr. Miranda if Dr. Ortiz is your Doctor, and she can help if you get stuck on your pre-op diet.

Just thought I 'd give an update on my fill problems I went back to fillcenters USA for my 3rd supposed fill

they poked me 10 or 11 times and dug around for about 1 1/2 hours then tell me they can not find my port

I then called TJ and set up a fill apt with dr. Romera on 8-9-06 When I got there DR. Romera told me I had

nothing in my band He then gave me my 1st real fill of 2.0ccs I felt very little restrition for the 1st 2 days

but I now have restriction and can only eat 1/4 of my norm I have rapidly been losing weight with no

probelms at all no pbing or nothing I am full I stop. I spent $350 for my 1st and $155 for 2nd and 3rd fills

at fill centers for nothing. DR.ROMERA filled me in just 5 min with fluro and has aparently hit my sweet spot

on his 1st try as I lost 5 lbs my 1st week on solids with very little effort. Invest the money to fly back to TJ

for your fills besides wasting money I wasted time(2 months of not losing weight)

=D> Thank you so much Pizza Guy. You have confirmed my trip to Mexico for my first fill. I also called fill centers for info and they don't have floroscopy . After your experience I think I'll forget them all together !! I am going for my first fill on Jan 8,2007. So I'll have a vacation too. I never was in San Diego before my surgery, i'll tour there after the fill and be close enough if it's too tight. I worry about it being too tight and hurting. Thanks again. I am so sorry you had to go through the situation that occured to you. Contact OCC directly for questions like this. They can be the most help.

Kevin, It's me Elaine Green, all of a sudden I was not able to access the forum to reply, I have no idea why. It keeps saying the page has been disabled. I talked to a friend and she told me to register again. I tried and it kept saying there is already member with my name. So I changed my name!! What do you think went wrong? My first registration was elainegreen the pass word was sassie123 I think. I got tired of trying to access so now I just gave a different email address and registered with a different name. Let me know what happened if you can find out. Oh, I am doing pretty good since Oct 24th surgery. I lost 27 pounds!! I eat very little and am not hungry. Some days are better than others , food goes down easy some days not so easy. There have been a few times when I thought I swollowed a knife !! Fried foods are a real no no !! ha ha( they always were)now they actually hurt. I go for my fill on Jan 8. I should need it by then, I really want this to work. I found liquid vitamins in Costco, now all I have to do is take them, I have a history of buying them an looking at them every day. Talk to you soon if this registration holds. Elaine (sassie123)
