Hi--I'm to have an endoscopy by Dr. Manuel Juncua later this month--this is who Dr. Ortiz sends his patients too, and I was hoping someone else had had an endoscopy by him. I've never had one before--I'm nervous, and the doctor's web site is in Spanish, which I can't read.

Specifically, I'm concerned about anesthesia--what's used? does the procedure hurt? ie. Anyone out there who can help me? Thanks so much--Jigglypuff

I scheduled for surgery 7/27 and can't wait! Anyone else scheduled for that date? Barbara

I've got my surgery date coming up very fast and am concerned about the level of hunger I may need to deal with the first 3 weeks. I have had a couple of C/S births, and was on clear liquids and then full liquids after the surgeries, but at day 3 or 4 post-op I'm pretty sure I was on a regular diet, and I remember being hungry and wanting to eat. I will be back at work 1 week post-banding, so I'm trying to plan for how I will manage no solids for 3 weeks. Can anyone share with me how it went for them? Thanks so much! barbara

I want to get banded, and have been doing my research. Could anyone tell me how they chose Dr. Ortiz over other MD's in Mexico who also do the Lapband procedure? Thanks--Barbara
