  1. :-?

I'm more hungry then I expected. I can't take another sip of broth. I was banded on 12 April and was doing very well until this morning. I'm eating popsicles, drinking water and juice. Is there something else I can do to feel fuller longer? I'm scheduled to return to work tomorrow but I can't imagine going in this hungry. I can't think straight. I even had a small Danon drinkable yogurt. I want to stick to the liquid diet because I don't want my band to slip but what should I do. Please contact me with any suggestions. Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi girl,

I was one of the 6 banded with you on the 12th. I feel your pain!! My stomach has been rumbling non-stop since this morning. I had read about this from other bandsters and tried to ignore it. I also started the Nourishe liquid yogurt today, 1/2 cup every 2-3 hours. It has helped some but I'm still hungry. I am soooo ready to go to the protein drinks! Hang in there...

  2. Hi All,

I am scheduled for Lap Band with Dr. Ortiz on April 12th. I am supposed to go to Rocky Point Mexico on April 21st to party like a "rock star". Can anyone tell me if I will be up to this? By what I am reading, nobody is experiencing any pains however are VERY low on energy!

Let me know your thoughts from your experiences.

    Thanks

  3. Hi Laura,

You are my idol!! =D> You should be bragging as you look fantastic. Your post is EXACTLY what I needed to read today. I am scheduled for the Lap Band by Dr. Ortiz on April 12th with two co-workers and have been so scared of failing as I too am a low BMI to start. I am 5'2 and have weighed between 168 and 172 for over fifteen years now. It is so great to see that it is POSSIBLE to get down to 125!! Thank you, thank you. I am sure I have a lot I could learn from you!

Do you contribute the exercise to how tone your skin looks? I have been worried about flabby tummy, wavy arms, etc.

  4. I had the lapband put in place a little over a year ago and I have really done great. I am down about 100 pounds and starting to take on new, fun activities. My husband and I want to get certified to dive. Is it OK to scuba dive with the lapband??? Are there any possible problems and/or issues that I need to be aware of?

    Hi,

I asked that exact question to a local lap band surgeon in AZ and he said as long as you stick to recreational diving only and do not go beyond 100 ft, you will not have any problems. That is good enough for me since I don't like going deeper than about 60 ft.

    Hope this helps
