Hi everyone,

I am getting banded in 3 days and am really getting worried. Are any of you still banded after more than a year. I would like to hear from you. It seems that they are eroding within a year. It would help to hear from some people that have had them for 5 years or more. I thought they have been banding people in Mexico for longer than USA. So where are You. Please Write about your experiences! Thanks.

Hi, I will be banded on 12/1. Just 2 days and quite freeked out!! The more I read on weight loss surgury forums, the more worried I get. It seems like the bands erode quite often. not the 1 to 3 percent quoted. Please let me know how you do. Have you heard of many erosions?

Does anyone know what the long term effects are with the lapband? I am interested in it but some people said it can rub after a long time and cause problems. I don't know if that is a good description but anyway, I was told to do a RNY instead? I appreciate any thoughts! I guess I am just scared because I am scheduled for lap band in 2 weeks.
