I ordered his book from Amazon.com and got it two days later. You might cancel your original order and order it from Amazon to insure you get it before leaving. My surgery isn't until June 13th but I've already started packing and the book was the first thing in the suitecase!

I heard that no one would touch you or do your fills if you had your band done in Mexico also. I'm not sure where you live but are there any barriatric centers near you? I called some of the docs in my area and told them I was going to Mexico and asked if they could do my follow up and fills. Several said they had no problem with it. Even if you are going to go back to Mexico for fills, you should find a doctor locally just to be safe and have a contact if anything comes up. Good luck!

Just scheduled my surgery for June 13th. It is such a huge relief! I've been researching and trying to get insurance to pay for the last six months. I'm so ready!

Why don' t you give the center a call and schedule a phone consultation with Dr. Ortiz. I had a phone consultation last week with him and scheduled my surgery for June 13th. He answered all my questions and put my mind at ease. I'm sure he can do the same for you.
