SteveD
No fills and I have lost ~ 30 pounds since I was banded on 2/19. Feel great. I have noticed that I am very dis-oriented and clumsy. I think the quick weight loss has caused my muscle memory to get worse. In other words, I am using the same strength to move that I used when I was 30lbs heavier. Hope this doesn't sound odd. Just curious if anyone has experienced this? Not sure if I feel dizzy because I am moving quicker or not eating enough. My mood is great and I am able to run much easier. ripcityrenegade
Hi Steve, I was just banded the 19th of April. Although I'm not as far along as you are I 'm wondering since you said you were dis oriented how much protein you are getting. I get that way when my protein level is low (like now). Congrats on your 30# loss. Its nice to see some guys post in here. Either that or its nice to see that I noticed. Keep up the good work. Again congrats on your loss. You might want to use something like http://www.livestrong.com (click on myplate) and track your protein intake. Also, eat more protein and contact OCC or your doctor. Good luck and please keep us posted. Janice
AshleyMarie
I would suggest increasing your protein intake and/or taking a multi-vitamin.
skinnyagain
sTEVEd-- IF I WAS YOU I WOULD GO GET A PHYSICAL AND MAKE SURE YOUR BLOOD WORK IS NORMAL. HYPOTHYROIDISM, LOW SODIUM, LOW POTASSIUM, BEING ANEMIC ETC...I WOULD WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT MY BODY IS GETTING WHAT IT NEEDS! THEN WORK ON THE DIET ISSUE IF YOUR NUMBERS ARE NORMAL. PERHAPS YOU SHOULD KEEP A JOURNAL OF THE CALORIES, CARBS, PROTEIN AND FATS THAT YOU ARE ACTUALLY EATING. THIS WAY YOU CAN TWEEK YOUR DIET IF YOU NOTICE THAT YOUR NOT GETTING ENOUGH CALORIES, AND WATER LETS SAY...JUST A SUGGESTION...CONGRATS ON THE WEIGHT LOSS TOO! Apprehensive
Hello SteveD I totally agree with what skinnyagain had posted. Especially what it says about the potassium and your electrolytes. These are very important and could be causing problems like you mentioned. But...you could be right too. If it were me, I think I would want to go to the doctor and check out the blood levels. Being a nurse, I have seen electrolytes that are out of whack really cause some problems for some people. And the suggestion about keeping a journal of what you consume daily would be helpful for you to know first hand if you are getting enough protein and carbs etc. Regardless...congrats on the weight loss!
