AngelsDoFall
I am going for a fill next month & I'm making a bit of a vacation out of it! Were going to go to seaworld & maybe legoland but I was wondering what all I need to take my 2 & 4 yr olds across the border? (I guess I'm more worried about getting BACK across to the US lol) Do I need to get them a pic id? I really dont want my boys to be stuck in Tiajuana! Also about how long does it take to walk back across the border? Were driving there parking the car at the border then walking across but I'd like to be prepared kwim? Thanks for all your help! OliveOil
In Jan 08 you will have an issue getting bk "Passport will be required" but now you should be ok, but bring Birth Cert's just in case you get a BP that's hav'g a bad day.
Clynn
I'd also advise you to bring something to keep the boys occupied while you're waiting in line as the wait to get back across can be quite lengthy sometimes.
RogerF
Is your spouse going? My wife has relatives in Canada and if she takes the kids without me they are also looking for a signed release from the absent spouse authorizing travel in and out of the country. I give her a copy of my ID with it. I don't know how important that would be on the southern border, but it couldn't hurt. Roger

I'm new here, but not new to traveling abroad with kids!! #-o LOL I agree with Roger 100%. It's better to be safe than sorry, so your best bet is to get a NOTORIZED letter stating it's OK with your DH (or the father of your kids) for you to cross the boarder with your sons. All my (5) kids have passports, but I believe you are still able to cross the Mexican boarder with a CERTIFIED birth certificate, at least for now. There shouldn
