I bolded in your post what I had for pre and post. I'm pretty OC myself but you've got me beat. Most of it I didn't even use. I can't wait to see you in your journey! Hugs!

HA, I cheated and pull this off of "the other site". Funny thing, most of it I already have except some of the meds.

If I get the funding in the next couple of weeks, I am hoping to bump up my surgery date by two weeks :) and it's only 2 hours to TJ for me.

Great list! You are so much more ahead of the game than me. I have to pack and print off my stuff tomorrow and then I should be set. Great job!!!!!

  • 2 weeks later...

The gauze is for that 'just in case' you at the hotel and for some odd reason, your incision broke loose and you want to cover with a sterilize pad. Then contact OCC and go from there.

ALSO, go to the Question section of this forum and look at julieburns' post on what to take to TJ. This is the list I went by and to tell you the truth, I hardly used anything other than a change of clothes for 2 days and my toiletries. I walked most of the time and just relaxed and watch alittle tv and slept the rest away. This was good healing time for me.

Hope this helps you!

I think it's for your bandages on your incisions. I am going off of what Jann put in bold type and what the responses are so I am not going to worry about the bandages ;) I'm ready to go NOW!!! 1 week from tomorrow :)

Donna, I can't believe you only have a week to go!!! It's seems like yesterday we were trying to convince your husband it was the best thing to do.

It sounds like your very organized and will have no problems at all.

Take care,

Thanks Linda! I am so excited!! I just bought my train ticket. I am 2 hours from the boarder and decided to take the train, it was only $18 one way and OCC is picking me up from the San Diego main station.

I am planning on taking:

A couple of the protein bullets

The Special K protein single packs

Boullion Cubes

Bottled Water

A long night shirt

Sports Bra that fastens in front

2 T-shirts

Sweat pants or Yoga Pants

Crocs (they slip on and off easy and I can walk in them pretty comfortably)

Mini Toiletry Kit

Gas X Strips

Pepto Pills (for upset stomach)

Buckwheat pillow for my train ride home
