Bobbie Posted December 15, 2008 Report Posted December 15, 2008 Does anyone out there know if Dr. Ortiz has a requirement of no smoking in order to have the surgery? I know here in Oregon I have to be smoke free for at least 6mo. Yes I know its better for my health but everyone has some bad habit. (haha)
ValleyGirl Posted December 15, 2008 Report Posted December 15, 2008 I met two girls at OCC when I was there this month that were both smokers. He gave them a big lecture but did the surgery anyways. So I am just wondering what his thinking was. Maybe because they were already there???

(haha) I was a smoker before surgery and had to quit two weeks prior, I probably had 2 or 3 in the two weeks and truthfully had no intention of quitting after surgery but when I tried to smoke afterwards for about two to three weeks., the pain from sucking in air was painful! So, I gave it up and now I don't miss it at all.
