Judy, sorry about that. Maybe you should try and submit just the hospital stay and all minus the lap band part and see what happens. Ask OCC for a modified report excluding the lap band. It won't hurt to try. Minnie

Hi Judy, they paid for everything but the cost of the band itself. OCC sent me a break down of the cost and 2000 was the band cost. So $6500 minus my 250 deductable left me with 6250. I was so shocked and very greatful. So everyone should apply even if they say they don't cover weight loss surgery. Minnie : )

Sorry this happened to you. I think some of the health care workers are jumping on the money wagon and maybe feel that it is only a port and that they can do the fill. Go to someone that do flouro x-ray. I just had my first fill and Iwent to a Dr. that do all the fills under flouro. It cost 375, but I have had no problems and I got 2.5cc for my first fill. Hi Stacy, I think you don't need a passport until Jan. 08. Until than drivers licnse and birth cert is ok. You only need them comming from Mexico. I hope this helps. Minnie

Hi all, I just want to know if anyone have developed the problem that I am having right now. I was banded 8/15/07. 9/5/07 I developed a rash around my surgery site and it is itching like crazy. I have been treating it with hydrocortisone cream, but that has not done the trick. Now I am going to see my medical doctor next week and pray I have not contacted some contagious skin infection. Has anyone had this problem? If so, when did your itchy rash resolve? Minnie

Hi Dawn, when Rene sent me my forms to be submitted they were all in English. He didn't send a Dx code or a procedure code. I have not gotten an answer from the claim I submitted. I'd better check up on it Monday while I am on my lunch break. I am really praying I get a little back. Dawn, I just called your house and left you a message.
