    Judy, sorry about that. Maybe you should try and submit just the hospital stay and all minus the lap band part and see what happens. Ask OCC for a modified report excluding the lap band. It won't hurt to try. Minnie

    Hi Judy, they paid for everything but the cost of the band itself. OCC sent me a break down of the cost and 2000 was the band cost. So $6500 minus my 250 deductable left me with 6250. I was so shocked and very greatful. So everyone should apply even if they say they don't cover weight loss surgery. Minnie : )

    Sorry this happened to you. I think some of the health care workers are jumping on the money wagon and maybe feel that it is only a port and that they can do the fill. Go to someone that do flouro x-ray. I just had my first fill and Iwent to a Dr. that do all the fills under flouro. It cost 375, but I have had no problems and I got 2.5cc for my first fill.     Hi Stacy, I think you don't need a passport until Jan. 08. Until than drivers licnse and birth cert is ok. You only need them comming from Mexico. I hope this helps. Minnie

    Hi all, I just want to know if anyone have developed the problem that I am having right now. I was banded 8/15/07. 9/5/07 I developed a rash around my surgery site and it is itching like crazy. I have been treating it with hydrocortisone cream, but that has not done the trick. Now I am going to see my medical doctor next week and pray I have not contacted some contagious skin infection. Has anyone had this problem? If so, when did your itchy rash resolve? Minnie

    Hi Dawn, when Rene sent me my forms to be submitted they were all in English. He didn't send a Dx code or a procedure code. I have not gotten an answer from the claim I submitted. I'd better check up on it Monday while I am on my lunch break. I am really praying I get a little back. Dawn, I just called your house and left you a message. I wish I was going with you to get my first fill. I hope to get a fill with a local doc here. I can't leave the kids to make a trip to TJ.

    Hang in there, I am right there with you. I can eat Sept 5th and I am going crazy. I am also wanting the weight to fall off. With all these lowfat liquids one would think the pounds would fall a little faster. Minnie : )

    I am a retired Navy wife, so I have Tricare Prime. They have a web site that I pulled the papers from. I filled them out and put the papers that Rene sent me with them and mailed them in. Minnie : )

    Hi all, I just need some support. I ws banded 8/15/07 and all was well. Now I am so hungry I could eat my own fingers. I get to get regular food 9/5/07. Say full tummy prayers for me ok. I just need to get through this. Minnie : )

    Hi dawn, how is everything going? I am trying to get set up with a doctor here for my fills. I can't leave my children again. I would love to go to OCC and meet up. I am starting to get hungry. I wake up in the middle of the night needing food, but I drink water and hope the pain go away. Minnie : )

    Hi Christie, I get a little hungry but it passes. I hope I heal soon this sore tummy is driving me crazy. I have been cooking and cleaning for my family. I hope this don't hender my healing too much. I should have found someone to come help me at home because my 3yr old is a hand full. Hubby in computer mode and not much help. Other wise I am ok. I'll be back at work 8/27 and hope all goes well. Minnie : )

    Roger, I live in Bremerton, WA. Good to know someone lives pretty close that has the band. I was just 8/15/07 by Dr. Ortiz. Feel free to e-mail me with any comments or thoughts on how to get past the recovery phase of this.
