I am just wondering how in the heck we can get enough protein on 12 oz. of food a day, and no snacks or protein drinks during the day? Even eating ONLY meat wouldn't be enough protein. How do you fit the required protein in with the small meal size?

I want to know what are some of the airlines flying form Orlando FL and what are some of the airfares you folks received. Any pointers will help. I want to schedule mine for March but I need to know when it's most inexpensive to fly from Orlando, Florida to San Diego, CA.

Anyone from Florida going anytime soon?

We are going for Surgery on March 19, and we booked our tickets on Delta from Jacksonville to San Diego, stopping in Atlanta for an hour, for about $400, counting taxes. I think there were cheaper flights, but I wanted the ones that had the shortest time in the airports and on the plane. I believe our flights are about 7.5 hours. We got bulkhead seats where they were available.

I need to know who to tip while you are on your clinic adventure. Obviously you would tip the maids in the hotel, but what about OCC staff?

What is the typical tip in Tiajuana?

I have my own questions...

I read in another post that you check into the hotel the first night, check out the next morning (of the surgery,) and check back into the hotel the next day. The OCC pays for two nights in the hotel. How do you keep your room the night of the surgery for your spouse? That would be so much easier than checking in and out, or at least checking in and out for the same room. Do you have to reserve the room ahead of time?

I have worried about the same thing. I was told about USA fill centers. It is a company that contracts individual physicians in the area who will do your fills and consult with you after surgery. I was told that Dr. Ortiz is on the board with them. They also help with nutrition. It is pricey though, I didn't expect to have to pay that much after surgery but I guess it runs about the same as anyone else. Alot of MD's do not want to treat a patient that they didn't do the surgery on. These physicians are contracted to do so. It was created by a mother whose daughter had the surgery out of the states and couldn't find anyone to fill her. That is what I was told by the USA fill center representative. I am scheduled for March 12 and coming from Florida. About an 8 hr flight. Hope it goes well on the flight back!!
