  1. I hope this will be the fill to get you to your sweet spot! Fingers crossed!

I also find that I am eating way too many carbs. For some reason, carbs seem to slide down easier for me and I believe that is the reason I have quit losing weight. I am gonna try some "Atkins" type diet for the next month or so and see if that will help.

  2. Michelle~

You look simply stunning in both dresses! You never cease to amaze me and I can say with honesty that if you never lose another pound, you are HOT! Your body has transformed so much and you look amazing. Don't you just feel so amazingly beautiful now? I can see the confidence all over your face! Go girl!!

  3. Okay so obviously what I have been doing to lose weight is NOT working anymore! I am assuming my body got used to it and it just stopped working. I am gonna do Atkins for a month or so and see if that will kickstart my weight loss again. I have tried Atkins pre-band and failed miserably at it. Carbs are my downfall. However, since I can't tolerate many of my fave evil foods anymore, I am thinking that this might actually do the trick this time!

If anyone has any great Atkins suggestions or hints I would love to hear about them. Thanks again for the wonderful advice and friendship all of you have given me.

  4. My Aunt, who was banded with me at the OCC, went to the fill Dr. I went to in New Orleans because she was sick of getting the tiny fills our regular fill Dr. gives us here in MS. My Aunt's BMI was only 32 at the time of her surgery and she has never felt resriction. Today when she went in she had 1.5cc in a 4cc band after 7 months of fills. The Dr. gave her 3.5cc and she had no restriction at all when she drank water in the waiting room. She went back in and he have her another 1cc for a total of 4.5cc in a 4cc band!! She could finally feel the tightening sensation when she drank water. ( I couldn't keep water down with 2.5cc in my 4cc band)

My question to all of you is do you think the OCC accidently gave her a 10cc band? Why did she have to have such a HUGE fill to feel anything? Could something be wrong with her band?

  5. Bless your heart! I cannot eat sticky bread or pasta, but if the bread is toasted then I can get one piece down. The egg roll is my fave because it is full of protein, but sometimes it does make me sick. Now eating a hamburger bun or anything like that would have me in the bathroom heaving for hours!! I also can't eat tortilla shells...one bite and I'm sick!

  6. Thanks so much for the quick responses!

Evette~Maybe I will get a small tweak. I am just scared I will be sick!

Clynn~ I am not counting my calories right now. (I am a bad girl LOL) but I can tell you that my fill is very tight in the mornings so I rarely eat breakfast. By lunch I can eat about half of a large egg roll, or a piece of toast with some tuna. I don't snack at all and then I eat a small supper ( a child sized plate) I do not drink calories nor do I drink with my meals (it makes me sick!)

I see no reason why I should not be losing at least a lb a week at this point. I had my thyroid checked and it is right on track so that's not it.

  7. Hey ya'll! Sorry I haven't been on in awhile. The weather is so pretty that I have been outside with the kids almost all day!

I need some advice. I have 2.3 cc (I think) in my 4cc band. Somedays I have very good restriction (almost too much) and other days I can eat a pretty good bit. I am still NOT losing weight. I was looking back at my calendar and I have only lost 8 lbs since July 1st. I have a fill scheduled for Friday but I am scared it might send me over the edge with restriction, but at the same time I want to start losing again. What should I do? Maybe get a small fill? Don't get one at all? I keep reading that too much restriction will make you gain weight. Could someone explain that to me? I am already not losing and I am scared that if I get overfilled I am gonna start gaining weight.

This weight loss battle is tough! I wish I was still losing weight like I did in the first 3-4 months after surgery. I seem to be stuck. My eating habits have changed drastically and I doubt I get in over 1200 cals a day, yet the weight stays the same! Help!!

  8. Well, I am pretty much still stuck in the mid 170's and it doesn't look like anything I do is gonna bring me out of it. Sigh....

I am pretty darn happy with my weight right now and think I look better than I have in years so I have decided to quit stressing over it and just be happy! :D

I know the rest of the weight has to come off with as little as I am eating, but my body is maybe taking a break from the rapid changes I have put it through and playing catch up. (I like to think that anyway! LOL)

Here are a few pics my friend took of me today. The weather was beautiful here in South MS so we took pics of each other outside.
