I'm going to talk to my doctor next thursday to see if I can get the lap band. I'm pretty excited and hoping that I qualify for my insurance too. I weigh 220 and Iam 5'4. I have been reading alot of these posts, and I was just wondering what is the pre-op diet?

Hey ya'll I'm new to the forum. I'm Kim, I live in Califorina. My husband in the Air Force, we are originally form Tennessee. I haven't got a lap band but I am planning on getting it or at least talkin to a doctor about it. I have pretty much decided that I want to. I was just wondering if its worth it all. How much pain is involved? Is there alot of vomiting? just anythng you could tell me from experience would help. Thanks
