Dr. Miranda told me to stop after 20 minutes.
Now if I would just remember to follow that rule.

Sabrina, You look great, just looked at all the pictures on facebook and it looks like you guys had so much fun My husbands 35th reunion was this last weekend and they were all so boring.
That dress is soooooo cute! You should be very proud of yourself.

Hey Sabrina, I know exactly how you feel! I get to a certain weight then I start to sabatoge myself, almost like I don't deserve to be thin.
I have yet to figure out what triggers this, but the band has helped, it reminds me constantly that i have ate to much.
Why don't you come do the Jog for a Jug with me June 20th in Pt. Roberts? It's an 11 km run/walk all for fun, then they come back to Kiniskis Reef Tavern (where I work) for a jug of beer and food. (not that we need either), I just started training today, It might be the incentive you need to get back on track,
If there is anyone else in the area that wants to join me let me know, we could have our own group, except no one knows that I was banded so we would have to keep that part quiet.
I sure hope you make it to the Point, It is beautiful here and I would love to meet you and any other bandsters out there.
Take care,
-
Welcome back, I was checking everyday to see it you had checked in.. I'm glad all went well and can't wait to see your pictures.
Take it easy and don't do to much.
-
Welcome to bandland. I am so happy everything went well.. You won't be disappointed! Take it easy and keep us posted.
-
I can not eat them either It's funny, bread, pasta, rice.. No Problem.
But Bananas are EVIL. (but they taste so damn good!)
I don't even try anymore, Unless I blend them in a vanilla slim fast shake.

Happy Bandiversary! Mine was yesterday and I agree with everything you wrote. Being to tight is no way to go.
I have heard people say they want to be wicked tight. Been there done that and it was no fun!!
You have done a great job.
Take care.

Congratulations on setting your surgery date. I have stayed at the Lucerna 3 times and just love it. I have never stayed at the Marriot, but heard it was nice.
I don't think you would be disappointed staying at either one.
-
You know your a bandster when... You wake up and say to your husband "wow I went all day yesterday without anything getting stuck!" and he says "you were a good bandster yesterday." and you feel proud of yourself.
-
Karen, you look great!! You will be so happy with the results. It looks like they did a great job. Your recovery sounds like mine, but remember to take it easy even though your feeling great.
Take Care,

Thank you everyone for the nice compliments. My grandson opened a part of my heart that I didn't know existed and I miss him and my son very much.
Tootsie thank you for keeping our troops in your prayers, My son joined after 9/11 to help protect our country and I am very proud of him!
Thanks again

Hi here is a picture taken last week, now tell me does my grandson look like he needs a drink!!
I guess hanging out with granny will do that to you. LOL
They live in Ozark Alabama, my son is currently in Iraq, and my daughter inlaw is on her own.
Just wanted to share his picture.

I had a lower BMI, I did not have to do the pre op diet, was just told not to gain any weight before surgery.
I to thought why can't i do this on my own, then remembered I had, many times over, only to regain.
Just remember you are doing this for you and don't worry what others think.
-
Please follow Drs. orders! I was like you and had a hard time sitting still, When I went to the Drs. recently, they said "you didn't listen to the Dr. did you?"
I didn't understand, and they said my stomach was lopsided from not laying around like I should of after my tummy tuck. This was 8 years ago, but I remember going for a little jog and doing way to much.
I always wondered why one side was larger than the other
You will love the results, but just remember to take it easy. There will be plenty of time for all those other things.
Good luck and looking forward to hearing about your results.

Good job BEBE, I voted! I worked for Albertsons in the bakery for 8 years and never saw anything as nice as your cakes. (wow that sounds weird)
good luck.

Hi I was heavier then than i am now when i had mine done, I had a donut lift and silicone implants above the muscle. Mine was done at the same time as my tummy tuck.
I had mine done at False Creek Surgical Center in Vancouver, by Dr. Van. Lakean, the total cost for everything was $9,800. that was 7 years ago, so prices may have gone up.
My only complaint is that i went to big, want a full c ended with very full D's i feel like it makes me my top half look huge, not just my boobs. I can't wear any button up tops without them gapping.
I guess go big or go home didn't apply in my case!

sharon, i've got similar concerns with regards to sagging skin. mind you, i'm a couple months behind you and still have a long way to go, but it's definitely something i want to plan for (even if that means having an LBL and breast lift). i hope you're coming tomorrow night to our support group. i think i remember Patricia saying she was looking into it. she'd be great to talk to about this. also, i remember another long time bandster at the january meeting telling me she had had it done at false creek surgical center. i don't remember her name as that was the first time i met her. anyways, bring it up in the group and i'm sure you'll get some feedback.
Hey I had my surgery done at false creek, tummy tuck and boob job. Dr. van Laeken did it. she was good! they won't operate on Americans any longer, or I would go back.

My tummy tuck left a dark brown scar, but I covered it with a tattoo. I love it now.
-
Happy Birthday and congratulations!!! You are doing a great job!
Enjoy your day.

Not having restriction after the first fill is normal, If your band had slipped, you would not be able to eat anything.
It takes most people 2 or 3 fills to hit their sweet spot, sometimes more.
Not sure how tall you are but according to your weight it looks like you have a lower BMI, The less you have to lose, It seems the tougher it is!
Hang in there, you are normal, and you should see a difference with your next fill.
-
Wow thats funny they changed it from 3 months, but just my opinion here, I was banded in May. My first fill was 6 weeks later in June and my port was just fine, I had to start training for a tahitian dance I was going to perform in Aug. I didn't realized how much ab work was involved. When I went back for my 2nd fill, my port had tilted. now sits sideways and sticks out some, I am sure it was because of the training I was doing.
So my advice would be to wait at least 3 months before doing abs. I wish I had

HAPPY BANDIVERSARY You have done so well and must be so excited for your surgery.. I can't wait to see the pictures.
Weren't you banded the same time as KittyKat? Not sure if you stay in contact or not, If so tell her happy bandiversary as well. She was doing so well herself and I bet she is at goal.
Again you look great and should be so proud of yourself.
Take Care,
