  1. HAPPY BANDIVERSARY :P:P You have done so well and must be so excited for your surgery.. I can't wait to see the pictures.

Weren't you banded the same time as KittyKat? Not sure if you stay in contact or not, If so tell her happy bandiversary as well. She was doing so well herself and I bet she is at goal.

Again you look great and should be so proud of yourself.

    Take Care,

  2. Hey Sabrina, I know exactly how you feel! I get to a certain weight then I start to sabatoge myself, almost like I don't deserve to be thin.

I have yet to figure out what triggers this, but the band has helped, it reminds me constantly that i have ate to much.

Why don't you come do the Jog for a Jug with me June 20th in Pt. Roberts? It's an 11 km run/walk all for fun, then they come back to Kiniskis Reef Tavern (where I work) for a jug of beer and food. (not that we need either), I just started training today, It might be the incentive you need to get back on track,

If there is anyone else in the area that wants to join me let me know, we could have our own group, except no one knows that I was banded so we would have to keep that part quiet.

I sure hope you make it to the Point, It is beautiful here and I would love to meet you and any other bandsters out there.

    Take care,

  3. Thank you everyone for the nice compliments. My grandson opened a part of my heart that I didn't know existed and I miss him and my son very much.

Tootsie thank you for keeping our troops in your prayers, My son joined after 9/11 to help protect our country and I am very proud of him!

    Thanks again

  4. Please follow Drs. orders! I was like you and had a hard time sitting still, When I went to the Drs. recently, they said "you didn't listen to the Dr. did you?"

I didn't understand, and they said my stomach was lopsided from not laying around like I should of after my tummy tuck. This was 8 years ago, but I remember going for a little jog and doing way to much.

I always wondered why one side was larger than the other

You will love the results, but just remember to take it easy. There will be plenty of time for all those other things.

Good luck and looking forward to hearing about your results.

  5. Hi I was heavier then than i am now when i had mine done, I had a donut lift and silicone implants above the muscle. Mine was done at the same time as my tummy tuck.

I had mine done at False Creek Surgical Center in Vancouver, by Dr. Van. Lakean, the total cost for everything was $9,800. that was 7 years ago, so prices may have gone up.

My only complaint is that i went to big, want a full c ended with very full D's i feel like it makes me my top half look huge, not just my boobs. I can't wear any button up tops without them gapping.

I guess go big or go home didn't apply in my case!

  6. sharon, i've got similar concerns with regards to sagging skin. mind you, i'm a couple months behind you and still have a long way to go, but it's definitely something i want to plan for (even if that means having an LBL and breast lift). i hope you're coming tomorrow night to our support group. i think i remember Patricia saying she was looking into it. she'd be great to talk to about this. also, i remember another long time bandster at the january meeting telling me she had had it done at false creek surgical center. i don't remember her name as that was the first time i met her. anyways, bring it up in the group and i'm sure you'll get some feedback.

Hey I had my surgery done at false creek, tummy tuck and boob job. Dr. van Laeken did it. she was good! they won't operate on Americans any longer, or I would go back.

  7. Not having restriction after the first fill is normal, If your band had slipped, you would not be able to eat anything.

It takes most people 2 or 3 fills to hit their sweet spot, sometimes more.

Not sure how tall you are but according to your weight it looks like you have a lower BMI, The less you have to lose, It seems the tougher it is!

Hang in there, you are normal, and you should see a difference with your next fill.

  8. Wow thats funny they changed it from 3 months, but just my opinion here, I was banded in May. My first fill was 6 weeks later in June and my port was just fine, I had to start training for a tahitian dance I was going to perform in Aug. I didn't realized how much ab work was involved. When I went back for my 2nd fill, my port had tilted. now sits sideways and sticks out some, I am sure it was because of the training I was doing.

So my advice would be to wait at least 3 months before doing abs. I wish I had
