I haven't been on this forum in a LONNNGGG time but I am having some issues and was hoping someone could help. I was banded 7/30/08 and today I am 95 pounds down, the lowest I have ever been and wearing a size 10, which I have never worn. I have not had a fill in over 6 months, and I am still very tight most of the time, which is prefectly fine with me. Here's the but, after I eat I get tremendous pain in my back and in my upper left chest area and I am really not eating maybe 3 or 4 bites and it does not go away until I vomit. Most of the time it's just saliva but it hurts like hell. Here is the other issue, I cannot lay down and sleep anymore, I have to basically sit up because stuff comes up in the middle of the night and basically chokes me. And my last problem is if I drink water or whatever sometimes in the morning it is still sitting there and I projectile vomit it up with brown stuff. I have a feeling it's my gallbladder but I have had an ultrasound in July and it was fine, I know it could change but I don't have diarrhea I am chronically constipated. Although I don't miss eating at all sometimes I want to, the hot liquid helps sometimes. Here's the kicker sometimes I have no issues eating at all!

How do you kno what size it is?

Thanks, I did liquids for the 24 hours, guess that wasn't enough. I called a local Dr on call and he actually called me back! He agreed with the liquids and actually told me to tough it out in a way. He said maybe because its been so long I am really irritated and to try mylanta. Hope this helps, at least I lost ten pounds this week!

I was banded in Aug of 08 and had one fill in Oct it was 2cc's never did anything for me then due to circumstances beyond my control have not had any fills until last Monday, there was 1.2 in there and now there is 2.5 total. I am sick, I ate fine the first two days and then I can't eat anything and if I do it feels like spit gets stuck and I have to vomit it up, no food just spit. Last night I drank some warm coffee before I ate and that was okay. The pain is not in my chest area it's lower on the left side (kinda in the port area) and it burns? Is my stomach just re getting used to the band all over again? I had my fill under flouro and it looked great! When I drink fluids it feels weird also like it sits there for a second. I went to the ER on Sat because I was throwing and diarrhea the said the band placement is fine. I had my fill done with Dr. Lee in NJ Maybe it just indigestion? Cause I burp so much?

I was going to ask the same thing, I got a letter in the mail I think she is with something called potomac something , I am hoping she still does them!

I would also like to know if they offer the flouro in the Old Bridge office and what they charge for it? I just called the USA fill center in mt laurel NJ and they said it was $649 for the first visit?

Dr brinkley in Frederick md is wonderful!! I had a great experience and I hope i get some restriction!! She put 2 in because I have had no restriction whatsoever!! LET THE WEIGHT LOSS BEGIN!

There are a lot of cookbooks go an amazon and look for them, there are ones specifically for after lap band and then there is a high protein book!

On the September 17th, i am ready for the restriction and the weight loss to begin. I have only lost 10lbs since being banded on 7/29 and have NO restriction!! Keep your fingers crossed, and BTW I am going to Dr. brinkley in frederick Md so I am hoping to get a good fill!

I am used fitday for the first time today and WOW is all I can say!

Julie you know women are very petty especailly nurses they are out the eat their young or the ones they think are weak. You are not like someone else you are an inspiration to us and don't beat yourself up. Obviously they are jealous. I also have issues with people talking about me and it bugs me to no end! Go for a walk and laugh it off in the end you will big the bigger person!

I will get a fill at the end of September, yesterday I was at the ER cause I was vomiting and having severe chest and back pain, but me through the whole shabang and at least my band is fine (so they say) I still feel like something is stuck and its driving my NUTS!

Im disappointed, I was banded on 7/29 and I have no restriction. I don't eat near as much as I did and find that eating 3 times a day is hard I almost have to force the 3rd meal. I also gained 2 pounds and now constipated, YEAH! I want my fill!!

B-be aware that the band is a tool and you have to work with it!

Yes the disposable things are wonderful!! I swear as soon as I ws awake enough I ripped those suckers off!! Julie--Dr. Hottie?? LOL Almost all the men there are hot!! My husband said after they left is that I'm pathetic becuase everything dr O said I was like Okay anything you say.

I am having water trouble to, i don't have to eat as often as you do but just seem to get busy and forget. my skin is terribly dry and I should know better by now, that I need it.
