  1. Tomorrow will be 8 weeks since my surgery, and 2 weeks since my first fill.

Has anyone ever gone back on the pre-op diet to get their weight loss moving along? I lost 9 lbs. pre-op, and 15 lbs. since surgery. I guess I was just hoping it would come off a little quicker?

Can we go back to protein drinks for a week or so, or should we eat solids from this point on?

    Help!

  2. I am going to the OCC. I agree that possibly I am eating three meals, plus 3 snacks daily. How do you manage to get everything in, in just 3 meals? As far as PBing, is it just small bites and small amounts? Or do certain foods affect us more (or does that vary by individual?)

  3. Hi everyone!

It will be 5 weeks on Monday since my lap band surgery. I lost 10 lb. pre-surgery, and another 9 lb. since then. I have a fill scheduled for Monday, August 25th.

Anyway, I feel like I am at a plateau. Kind of disappointed, but happy I am not gaining anything back. Is this normal? I am eating between 1,000 and 1,200 calories a day. Should I eat less? More? Mix up my food? I have been eating cereal for breakfast, yogurt for a snack, a turkey burger or something on that order for lunch with veggies, maybe a string cheese for snack, and another turkeyl burger or chicken with veggies for lunch. I usually sneak in a fat free fudgesicle at night. Oh, and I eat a protein bar sometime during the day too!

Am I eating the wrong things??? Should I just wait to see what happens afater my fill? Help!

  4. Yahoo! I get to start solids on Monday. Can you please give me some suggestions of what you guys ate, for breakfast, lunch and dinner? I was thinking along the lines of oatmeal for breakfast and broiled chicken with broccoli for dinner. Are those good choices, when you haven't eaten solid food in 4 weeks? What about lunch ideas? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

  5. Hi everyone! I had my surgery on Monday, July 14th. Thursday, I woke up with laryngitis. My voice gets stronger during the day, but then I wake up with it again each morning. Also, I can't stop coughing, and I'm nervous that I will dislodge the band. I tried liquid tylenol last night, but soon after taking it, I felt very warm and clammy and got diarrhea.

I obviously have some type of flu....can I take over the counter cough medicine? I am worried about going to my regular doctor, because I didn't discuss the procedure with him beforehand. If I need an antibiotic, how will they give it to me? I'm assuming I can't take pills?

    Help!

    Thanks!
