  1. I feel exactly the same way. Do I really know what I am getting myself into? I just tell myself I have to do this. This is my last resort. If I want to live healthier and longer this has to be my only option at this point except to have gastric bypass and I know that is not an option for me. You don't talk yourself out of this and I won't talk myself out.
  2. I am glad that you asked that question because I was curious also.
  3. I am scheduled for my first Dr appointment tomorrow and I am a bit nervous. My primary care Dr wrote a letter recommending me for the surgery. What kind of questions do I ask the Dr? What is he sees no need in me having the surgery? I am 5"9" and I weigh 292 lbs and my BMI is 41 or 42. I have to say that I am so nervous. There have been several people that I work with that have had the surgery and the insurance has paid for it. :lb18:
  4. I am a 45 yr old female. I am 5' 9'' and I weigh 290 lbs. I have been up and down with my weight for over 20 years. I have tried every diet known to man. I will lose weight and do great for a while and then I gain it back plus more. What makes this diet better than all the rest? How is this diet going to work for me? I am desperate?
  5. Hello I am new to the forum. I have an appointment July 16 with the surgeon. I am excited and scare at the same time. I so desperately in need of this surgery. I am curious if anyone else is having the same problem that I am. I know that my surgery is coming up, and I will have to start the liquid diet pre-op, but right now I am eating everything in sight. I sure hope that I can do this.
