  1. Vix my heart goes out to you xoxo

In my opinion, i believe that there comes a time when we have to remember that we are people with our own minds and own beliefs.. when we get

married we do often go in an automatic mode and do whats best for everyone else...meaning husband/wife children and often put ourselves last.

Its so important to remember Vix that you can make this decision on your own and need to make that clear to your husband in your letter... being his

wife doesnt mean that if he is against the idea of you being banded that you will just not do it. I do understand that it is not an easy way to decide something

that your husband is so against, In saying all of this i do have to say i have not been in your circumstance as my husband was very supportive of me being banded. So maybe what im saying is wrong but it is only my opinon if i was in your circumstances.

I am sure if he truely loves you Vix he will come to understand how important it is to you. Stay strong to what you want to do and I wish you all the best.. please keep us updated and we will provide you with the support you need to get through this hard time :give_rose:

  2. Congrats on being banded, a "protein bomb" is a vial of liquid that is high in protein and low in calories and carbs!

    They look like this: profect-protein-beverage-776386.jpg

Basically instead of drinking a whole shake or eating 2 chicken breasts you can get the same amount of protein in about 2 sips...

It might be a good idea for you now or maybe once a week later in your journey when you're feeling tight, but you run the risk of taking the "bomb" and finding yourself hungry later since it's just liquid that goes right through your pouch...

Thanks so much mamaMichelle... i will do some research to see if i can get them here in Australia. Where would i buy them? Do you buy them in a pack or how do they come? Have you tried them before ? Sorry for my 100 questions xox

  3. I was banded only 5 days ago now and since then i have had no compulsion to eat or feel hungry and only eat (should i say drink due to liquid diet) because

i have to. I battle due to the full sensation to drink 2 opitfast shakes and losing around a kilo per day (which is about 2.2 pounds) since being banded but i am concerned im not getting enough protein..ive heard of a protein bomb - what is a protein bomb??? i know the the opifast only has 17g of protein. Im still pretty new at all of this.. but don't want to run into any health concerns due to not consuming enough. ;)

  4. I'm not there yet, Mama, but I like the way you think and clearly it's working for you! I'm struggling to even get 800 to 1200 calories a day. I haven't had a fill yet (surg was June 9th) but I'm just NOT hungry. I have an appointment with the fill doctor at the hospital next week and I'm going to talk to him about it. I probably will not need a fill and I don't want an unnecessary one. I just don't know why I have no compulsion to eat.

I eat because I have to at this point not because I want to. When I do prepare a meal I ensure that I'm getting my proteins first and foremost. To bring my calorie count up I have a Breyer's LF Fudgie (70 cals/serving) every single night. I also do a protein bomb in the mornings, 27 grams.
