  1. Hi Guys!! Just wondering how long I have to wait to get into a swimming pool. I dont really want to do laps or anything but I would like to lounge a little bit. Thanks as always for your feedback. Regards, Skylacker
  2. Hi to everyone, I am in the post-op liquid stages of food, including soup and yogurt, and I am obviously dreaming about eating from some more solid recipies. I found myself analyzing the soft food/solid food issue and I am posing the following question: From what I understand, after getting on to the "solid food" stage, it is important to NOT eat soft foods like grits, mash potatoes and cream of wheat etc. My comprehension of this was because the "soft foods" would go through the band too easily and defeat the purpose of reaching satiety. What I do not understand is that if we are to chew our "solid food" to an applesauce consistency, what is the difference? Would this not be the same as the "soft foods"? I guess you all can see know that I have had nothing better to do with my time than to think about things like this. :-) I appreciate any feedback that can be given. Good Luck to Everyone on their bandster journey!! John banded 9-05-06 320/290/200
  3. Hi to everyone, I had surgery on the 5th of September with Dr. Ortiz and everything seems to be doing fine.....Except for a sharp pain in my chest. No, it is not a heart attack but it feels like a LARGE burp stuck in there and I am wondering if anybody else has experienced this. Also, can anybody tell me if this is normal and if it ever goes away or is this just one of the perks of being a bandster? Thanks So Much, Skylacker[/font]
  4. Hi, I was just banded on the 5th by Dr. Ortiz and I have been doing pretty good except for a REALLY sore port site. The incision sites seem to be feeling fine, only mild soreness but the port site is a whole different story. A few questions related to this...... Is this normal? Is there any special care advised such as medicated creams or lotions? How long will it take for this to feel better? Thanks so much for the input, I really appreciate it. John
