  1. Kristy, How are you doing? Are any of your experiences reflecting what we have been reading? Take advice from Amanda and check you itinerary LOL. Here is to a better flight home. Anne
  2. Are you doing any better this morning? I am sorry that you are having such pain! Is there anyone around that could help you or take you to a doctors to get you some pain medication? I sure hope you are feeling better. Maybe a warm soak in the bathtub could temporarily help you feel better.
  3. Hi Cindy, What time are you and your mom checking out? I thought that possibly we could meet. I am not arriving in San Diego until 10:36am. The idea of meeting in Portland sounds like fun. It will all decide where I decide to go to get my fills. Well, Good Luck on your surgery. At least you are going into this with your eyes wide open, what with your son and all. Have a great day. Anne
  4. Just curious, how did the port flip?

  5. Hey Vangirl, I love the massage thing. Okay, do you mind if I ask you the price? That just sounds so wonderful!! Sounds like you are doing O.K. all things considered. Anne
  6. So you are home Vangirl. Way to go. I can't believe you drove home from your mothers. I have really enjoyed reading your experiences. PLEASE keep them up. Anne
  7. Me too! May we be lucky enough in the future to be able to do without it.
  8. Mona-camille, Did you take it with you to the clinic? I seriously cannot go a night without it. I also just called the place where I got the machine (they are out of town) and they said they would fax over a copy of the prescription. Maybe that will help with the security issue. Anne
  9. It is so encouraging to hear of everyones' success stories and down to earth struggles. Msdetermine, I love your user name. HaHa. I tried for that one! You do have a way with words, continue to use them to encourage those of us who are just beginning the new us. I have eleven days to go. Anne
  10. Thank you for putting that matter to rest. I too will also check in my bag. I am on a c-pap machine so I would carry that on with me to avoid any damage that may happen. Anne
  11. I am very interested in how everyone did on their ride home. Are there any tips out there or suggestions of what to do? Was it difficult to be in the sitting position for so long? etc.. Those of you who traveled alone, how did you handle luggage, or was everything carry on? Thanks for responding, Anne
  12. How beautiful. You have worked so hard for this and what a reward. This will be another growth in your marriage. Anne
  13. Vangirl, We will have to communicate with each other. I am having mine on the 15th. Do you think this is normal to not lose weight the first week? I was wondering how soon we start to lose weight. Anne
  14. Is this the powder proteins that you are adding to Star Buck's coffees? Anne
  15. Salena, thanks for the honest answer. I actually asked the question about the plane ride home earlier today, but I can't remember what blog I was in. I have a very hard time remembering which one is which. This is also a learning experience for me. Anne
  16. Hi Sue, I am to banded 12/15 so I will be joining you shortly on this lifelong journey. The forums are great! There fellow banders on here that have so much advice and great help. Anne
  17. Did any of you fly home after your surgery? I am wondering how it goes on the airplane. Can any of you let me know of your experience and what you did? I appreciate it. Anne
  18. My husband and I were discussing the protein last night. Saying that I was going to have to find something that listed the amount of protein in everything. What great timing! I have already printed it off to add to my collection of things to come, to expectand, and what to do. What a learning experience. Anne (12 days and counting)
  19. I absolutely LOVE this forum. I learn so much and get so many laughs! I share a lot with my 2 co-workers, just so they know what to expect after I get my lapband. I so appreciate all of you and enjoy every little thing that you have to share. I CAN"T wait for my LB. (wow I actually used the abbreviation) I still am having a little bit of trouble (a lot) getting back & forth to the subjects. Anyway thank you, thank you, thank you, to all of you bandsters out there and the soon to be. Anne
  20. Thank you Vangirl, You have no idea how much I appreciate your response. I have a tendency to take too much of anything anywhere I go. I never know what I am going to feel like wearing. When you get to your room. Is there some sort of communication to let you know what time they pick you up the next morning? I am flying in on a Sunday and having everything done on Monday. But I have no idea when to be ready to be picked up in the morning. There are so many things that I still have questions about. I am so happy for you. This is like the biggest Christmas present ever. Anne
  21. Good Morning,

Are you new to all of this? Or have you already been banded? Looking forward to hearing from you. Anne

  22. Vangirl, it looks like we are all following in each others footsteps. I am now 17 days out and so excited I want it now!! Did you share a room with anyone at the clinic? What else was it like? What did you take to the clinic the day of? I am so curious about the experience and what to expect. You have begun your journey, can't wait till I start mine. Anne
  23. I too am a little nervous. Not about the surgery, but about seeing my doctor. I have an appointment with him on 12/09. I know he'll be supportive. It is just when he asks me where, is when there will probably silence.
  24. Thank you so........much! I just talked to Dr. Miranda on the phone this morning, and have started my pre-op phase. December 15th, here I come. Thank you also for explaining what "PB" means. I had no clue when bandsters kept referring to it. Now my next question is - what is LBL? I understand LB, just not the added L. Thanks Anne
