Hi, Shelley I really dont know what other ideas to give you besides save save and save thats basically what I did, Ive wanted this surgery for many years already but I didnt have the money and of course my Ins didnt cover it , my credit is also bad so I couldnt ask for a loan and I was tired of wasting money on other programs that just didnt work for me I lost the weight then gained it all back and double so I decided no more of that and got 2 jobs, sold stuff on ebay that I had in the house that I didnt used(youll be surprised of all the thing you can sell and what people pay for theme lol) and I cut back on eating out and spending money on things I didnt need and also my hubby gave me some money from his tax return and thats how I finally was able to pay for the surgery, I know theres many other people on here that can give you more ideas sorry if I wasnt much help. or maybe a family memeber can help you get a loan then you can start paying theme back since they wont give you the loan,

Well I have to do my pre-op exams first then ill get banded so i might be like the last one to get banded , and Iam going alone

Well I just talked to her this past week and she told me to start right away but I have a high BMI and from what I see you weight much less then me so I dont think you have to loss as much but the best thing would be to contact her and ask her

Ill be having surgery on March 16 so Ill be at the OCC from March 15 - 18 Ill be going alone so I hope I get to make some friends to meet up with.

Hello alla Iam set for March 16 to get banded ill arrive March 15 and leave the 18. And about the pre-op diet I spoke with Dr, Miranda and she told me I had to loose atleast 14 pounds and told me to do choice 2 of the diets. Well I hope I get to see you at the OCC

Ok iam going to get my labband in March (YAY) But I would like to know is it really necessary to have a passport? or will I be ok with my birth certificate and DL Iam Mexican and Ive been to Mexico before and I been ok with just my birth certificate and DL but Ive herd from a friend that now there not taken just that, that now you need the passport so if any of you guys that have traveled there recently can let me know I would really appreciate it. THANK YOU

Congrats!!!!!!!!!! Iam so happy for you Iam aslo getting banded in March hopefully if all goes well Wish I could see you there but iam scheduled from 03/15 to the 03/18 so Ill miss you by a few days =( and iam also wating for that March topic to be posted

Iam so sorry you having trouble financing, but the last thing you do is give up I was in your same situation, I have bad credit so I couldnt get no loans, my insurance wont cover so for this past year I been working my booty off on saving money (I think I did everything kristy said lol) so with my tax return ,the money I saved and money my hubby is giving me from his tax return, I can now pay for the lapband in march after like 3 years of wanting it so thats why I tell you dont give up!!!!!! good luck and I hope all goes well and you can get your band

Well let me start by saying that my name is Fabiola (fabi) for short I live in South Florida, I have 4 kids a 10yr old 8,3, and 1 and I been married to my hubby for 6 looong years lol, and my story like most of all is that my insurance does not cover the surgery so I have to pay out of my pocket and thats how I ended up here after much research I decided to go with Dr, Ortiz and after reading what you guys have all said about Dr, Ortic and the center I feel like I made a good choice. Well I can also say that Iam pretty much on this alone my hubby and mother keep trying to talk me out from going to Mexico to get surgery but I know iam making a good decision by getting the lapband and I feel confident that everything will go well you guys that post comments give me that confidence that I made a good choice so thank you for that, also I would like to make some new friends on here and get advice from people that have gone or are going thru what I will be going thru O by the way Iam scheduled for March 16 so if anyone will be at the occ around that time please let me know so that I can have someone to talk to and know someone when I go because I will be traveling alone , I have tried many other dieats and yes i loose weight but I end up gaining the weight I lost and more so at this point Iam tired of waisting my money and strenth on dieats that dont work atleast not for me, so this is like my last resource and Iam really scared but anxious to get the lap band because I really want and need to loose weight Iam on my highest weight right now at 280 pounds and iam just tired of haveing no energy to play with my kids and havent joint pains so lapband here I come well I already made this post a little long so Ill stop typing now and hopfully I get some new friends, thank you for reading

WOW!! congrats on your weight loss and good for you on you tummy tuck and breast lift that exactly what I want after I loss weight hopefully everthing goes well with my band and I can loss the weight, but iam so happy for you
