I would appreciate it if someone would post a few menus. What to eat for breakfast and how much, lunch and dinner. I joined fill centers usa and they recommend only 1/4 cup of food each meal. Is that correct? I was eating more than that, now I have really cut down. Also post the names of the liquid vitamins and minerals and what type of protein drink to supplement since no one, not even fat people can live on 1/4 cup of food 3x daily. Thank you . elaine

CalKev, I am so glad to hear you did so well !!! I am going on the 23th and having surgery on 24th , I am anxious and hoping for good results. I am on the preop, but I thought Dr Miranda told me to eat 1 Lean Cuisuine for lunch every other day. I did that and I am not so hungry. I hope I did the right thing, i read where every one is drinking Slim fast. Oh well , I drink only slim fast until tomorrow and then a complete fast on monday for the blood work. I did loose weight during this pre op time. Again , Thanks for all your support and congratulations on your successful banding , keep up the good attitude. Hi Becky, so glad to hear from you, i will definately look for you on the 24th . I would like to ask you how you did on the pre-surgery 7 day diet. I have not yet called Dr Miranda to get all the facts. My understanding so far is I drink Slim Fast every day for 7 days for Breakfast, lunch and dinner, hopefully I don't get a migraine headache from it. I am ready for it though. I must admit i have been eating all the sweets I can get my hands on. I really must stop, i feel so tired from all that garbage and I really don't want to gain more weight !! How did you do on the Slim Fast? My husband is coming with me so I do have support, but he says things like "don't be scared , you are doing something good for yourself, be glad of that" I suppose hhe is right, we really did make a life changing decision with this , didn't we? I am so mixed up inside due to my history of failure on every diet and every program I attempted. This is the most drastic, locking my stomach up for crying out loud !!! Oh well I do need something drastic because I just can't stop eating sweets. Write back , i loved hearing from you. Elaine

thank you so much Claire , you are very helpful, i am so glad to hear the anesthesia is IV. I am not as scared now. I had gallstones removed last dec. and i am still a little tender in the abdomen so i worry. It was an open procedure. All my adipose tissue did not help matters. How are you now? I hope you are able to comply with the regimen without too much white knuckling. I pray i am able to comply and not get too grouchy and bitchy. My friend cheated and vomited a lot. Hello Bandsters, I will be in from pompano beach florida on 10/23/6 and have the surgery the next day, i am very anxious but ready to start this new "life". I am so sorry to read all the negative post about not loosing weight. My friend had it done in early december of 2005 and is doing quite well. She might come with me and my husband , get a fill and be with me for my surgery. hi, i am scheduled for surgery on 10/24/6 and i am so scared, but i am determined!!My friend had the banding in early december last year, i was supposed to follow her sooner , had a gallbladder attack and surgery and just got over it. So , here i am almost with you. She is doing well , lost 65 # . I am determined to do my best and follow instructions. Good luck to you .
