  1. Yes...your impatient, like we all are/were...I didn't get restriction until my second fill... Don't make the mistake of thinking this band will do it all for you..You will fail if you have that attitude. the band is ther to help..You still have to do all the work...Those "rules" Dr Ortiz told you about. Those are real, and they work. If you don't follow them you won't lose...

Be good to yourself, follow the rules and get another fill when you can...

  2. saw Dr Nyte today, removed my drain...yaaaaa, then put a new one back in. Smaller, and in one week it will be out for good.

I am loving the results of the boobie lift and the TT...I love having a waist, flat tummy...I actually look cute again in my clothes.

Yaaa to plastic surgery, and healing becoming to new me...skinnyagain

  3. You shouldn't rate a good or bad fill by the amount of fill you got. Its only a number....Its what your body can tolerate. You don't want to be to tight...You won't lose, you will pB and not be happy. ---Now upset that the good dr could not get in, that would piss me off a bit!...

A good fill+ following the guidelines= weight loss....

  4. I am not a breakfast eater at all, one because I just cannot get it down. I have my one cup of coffee and a few hours later I will eat a snack size protein bar...80cals...Then I usually won't eat again until 5ish, normal banded dinner, and a snack later in the evening.

Were all different, and I think the band will let us know what we can and cannot eat at the time we THINK we should be eating.

God luck on finding your happy sppot

  5. I have been known to stand up during a meal to allow that darn pain to go away..Ya know the one that is knocking at your throat cause you thought you could eat that last bite, and you know you shouldn't but you did and now your paying for it...ya that one.!!!Sometimes a small pretend stroll to the car to pretend to get something out of it, and walking back takes the pain away...

Games we all play with our band!

    Kim

  6. That is my question too, are you following the guidelines? If your not filled correctly and your not following the food guidelines you won't eat. Go back to the basics...get your band checked with fluoro...Maybe you need an unfill!

  7. What kind of problems?

I know my band is finicky...In the AM can't eat much, as the day progresses I can eat better, not a lot, but better. Around my period, my band is super tight. I have to be real careful at this time. Sometimes I cannot eat solids until after my period is over.

So what kind of problems are you having that makes you think your band has slipped?

  8. H ello ladies..My band will only "let"me eat so much...If I eat to much I barf...For me its not a point of will power, its more I don't want to PB or barf....Plus, I just can't eat in the AM/Noon time. Are you don't experiencing restriction? I can eat anything I want..I know certain things go down better. So I eat more of those foods. Will power is no longer involved. I hope you find your happy spot!

  9. This is not a new recipe but it is helping me...

    One package of jello-

    2cups hot water

    Dissolve jello

Add 2 cups of ice cubes

    When jello is cooled,

add tub of fat free cool whip.

    Stir--

    Fill into 1/2 containers, cover

    Chill!

I am not able to eat much of anything in the AM. So one of these fills me up and I don't PB. Its a little protein, and some calories and some air!

  10. ooohhhhhhhhh, lucky, lucky lady!!!! I saw the good doctor Friday..to discuss this freaking drain. Plan is to take it out Friday, and put in a penrose drain IF I am still draining more than 10cc in 24 hrs...which I probable will be...At least the Penrose drain will be more comforable. My body is trying to heal around this one and I want it out!!! After 4 weeks, 5 when I gets it pulled, I will be ready for it to go!

    Happy for you miss Pammie!!!!!!

  12. What about a little baby fill...One at a time...Say .5cc, wait 2 months, and see if you can slowly find your sweet spot! I think after most of us have this band for a while we finally realize that it is a tool...We still have to do our work. I think most of us in the beginning think that the band is going to be a miracle worker and the weight will vanish with out much help...Well the harsh reality is that we still have to do our part...the sooner we realize that the sooner we are able to work with the band...

Good luck on your recent weight loss...

    Kim

  13. I would hope that your weight loss would slow. You cannot keep loosing at that pace and stay healthy. You didn't gain the weight over night, and the slower it comes off, the more you are able to keep it off...forever I hope....

I see that those folks that have more weight to lose, lose faster in the beginning and then it slows...Then the body begins to adjust to the lower caloric intake, and thats where we all need to move our butts! My weight loss has been slow for the most part...I have/had to lose a total of 55-65lbs...So its been almost a year and a half and I am a bit over my halfway mark...

For you I would hope for finding your sweet spot, early on....and have steady weight loss!!!! Good luck!

    Kim

  14. Ok, so I am three weeks plus a few days with my surgery. I still have my drain in, I am down to 10cc in 24 hrs, so I am hoping this drain comes out soon. My tummy tuck horizontal scar is healed nicely and I have begun using Mederma on the scar. I had to have a vertical scar because the TT would of been to tight with out it. I have had some seperation where the two scars meet..Dr. Nyte came in on his family/church time on sunday to put in some reinforcement sutures. It will make for a better scar. My boobies are sooo nice. They re not swollen bowling balls any longer. Incisions healing nicely...I had lipo on my flanks, he took out a total of 1800cc with a fat settlement of 1500cc or so...This is where I am still sore. I still take one or two pain pills per day...Down from one every 2-4 hrs... I would post pics but for some reason this site won't let me.

I am very happy with my results. I would do this all again...

    Kim

  15. Slowly, the weight is coming off...I think I have found my sweet spot...It took a year to get there...I have lost more weight in these last few months than in my entire first year.

If you think your to tight, your probably right. I think for the first year I thought that tighter was better..NO NO NO... Took out one tiny .5cc and it has made the world of diffference. Its a mind game that we all play with ourselves...If you are to tight and not losing, remove some fluid...and let he weight come off...Dr. Ortiz knows what he is talking about!!

    Happy Bander here...
