  1. Thanks! He is a sweet boy, and we love him dearly!

  2. Glad you are back and banded! Wee! Now let the wl begin!
  3. Hi there! Week three is full liquids. Anything you can suck threw a straw is A-Ok. No chunks!
  4. AHHHH those wet noodle lashings really do sting.....ahhhhh!
  5. I took crystal light on the go packs. $1 and $5 for tipping. Pack light....you wont need much. Plus it leaves room in your suit case for SHOPPING!!!!!
  6. I struggled with the pre-op diet. I had my cheats and stuck to it the best I could. I lost the weight they asked and that made me feel good. It is a difficult diet and the post op liquid diet is hard too. I will say that the first 2-3 days of the post op diet were easy for me, I had no hunger and didn't really feel like eating. The pre-op diet does more than get your liver ready for surgery, it also shrinks your stomach. To be frank, I didn't get my head in the right place before I began, I did the best I could. I did feel like a let down, cuz I did not do either the pre or post diets perfect. It is harder than I thought it would be too. I love my band and would not change anything. Angie
  7. Hi Janet, I would be interested in the 18's if you have them available. Thanks! Angie
  8. Hi Larry! Check back in and let us know how you are doing. Looking forward to hearing from you!
  9. Woo hoo glad that hurdle is over! Let all the healing begin!! I am sure you will look even more fabulous than you do now! That is a HUGE downer that your aftercare was that terrible. What a huge upset. Glad hubby is able to help you, and you are home!
  10. Are you going to have the surgery to fix the band, or what are you thinking....?

  11. So did you have a brizillan butt lift? I've heard that is painful! Hopefully the tummy returns to normal after swelling goes down.

  12. Sorry I am not deducting from the ticker....but I did a mile yesterday and one today over lunch!
  13. B - Sooo so happy for your newest milestone! Woo hoo!

  14. Hope your recovery is going well. ((HUGS))

  15. Oh, my goodness, when you talk about sinus drainage you brought back memories for me. I had some heavy drainage, last year. Being new to the band....I had no idea it would gunk up the band. Thank heavens for boards! LOL Well I took Sudafed (sp) which helped a ton. Also drink warm liquid before you eat. This will help clear the band from the junk and help you out so much. Hang in there. Also if you feel like you are swollen from things getting stuck malox does help.
  16. Well there is plenty to do and see. If you want to be a total tourist, check out Revolution Ave. They sell all kinds of stuff there. TJ also has a big mall that is suppose to be nice. We didn't go though...cuz we did the strip. Shopped for 5 hours the day after surgery. LOL Check it out, the hotel will get a cabbie for ya, and most times you can arrange for the same cab to pick you back up at a certain time. Take a good amount of ones and fives, makes tipping easy breezy! Looking forward to hearing from you when you get back!
  17. I am not sure what the going rate is. If you call one of the coordinators Lori, or Carolyn they will be able to give you all the information you need. I am pretty sure the talk of what the going rate is tends to be frowned upon here on the forum. Hope this helps! Angie

Hi Nicole - I can see how easy it is or would be to get information blurred. I read, watched, talked, forumed ect about the surgery before I had it. I am well. Yesterday I had my all time best step day...meaning I wore my pedometer and walked over 11000 steps! Woo hoo! I thought I would feel it today, but I don't! Yay me! How are you doing?
  19. Woo hoo! Way to go! Onederland baby!

  20. I did 2 miles over lunch and was joined by a co-worker! Yay made for good conversation. More people are getting interested in walking! How cool is that! Contagious, I tell ya....PLUS I have a big mouth! HA!
  21. Early flights bite, but it will also get you into San Diego early. So you will have your lab work the same day....right....followed by surgery the next day. Have a great time. Walk walk walk....I am excited for you....check out Revolution Ave if you have time...total tourist trap but fun. I bought some pretty cool items down there. My son made out like a bandit, and so did my husband. Plus it is good to walk. A group of us went the day after our surgery. It was so fun!

It is my understanding that Dr. Ortiz always has 5 incisions. I have not heard of a single case of his that has 3. What information gave you the impression you would have 3?
  23. Just a few things to mull over. I actually prefer later apt, as my band opens up more in the afternoon/evening time. Where I get my fills, they schedule time through the radiology department to use there equipment. That may be why only one day a month...not sure.. I am a believer in if you have any questions or unknowns....ask. So, if I were in your shoes, I would call the fill center and simply ask why they have no early apt available. Not to forget why they only can schedule one day a month. The fill center should have no problems answering those questions. Don't be afraid to ask questions, it's how we learn.
  24. Thank you for watching....and for the compliments. I am feeling great!
