I can & do. No problems...I mean not a huge glass of water but like 1cup at a time here & there, especially when I haven't had a drink of water in awhile. Everyones different!

I swear by the Premier Nutrition Protein Dietary Supplement in Chocolate, with 30 Grams of protein, 3 grams of fat, 160 calories & only 1 gram of sugar.
I bought them at Costco in No. California., about $27. for a case.
Everyone that I have given one to loves them also...very tasty not chalky!!!

If you don't mind me asking, Did you change dates cause of Swine Flu?
Hello:
I had to change my flight because I was banded on April 7th so they wouldn't let me get my first fill until after May 18th...that is the only reason that I changed my flight. I am not concerned at all about the flu issues.
Good luck on the Pre-op diet!
Maybe I will see you in the waiting room at the OCC on the 20th. I am going with a friend, who is also getting a fill. Our appts. are at 9:30 &10 am.
I am so excited to get a fill!!!
See ya then!

Hello:
Does anyone know how long we have to wait after surgery to do water aerobics?
Thanks for your help!!!

I had my surgery April 7th...MUCH MUCH MUCH EASIER THAN A C-SECTION!!! Hardest thing for me was the 1st week of liquids!
Anyway...I am getting my first fill on Wednesday, May 13th! Can't wait!

Thanks for the advice gals...
Glad to know it's not just me!

My surgery was Tuesday April 7th.
Tuesday April 14th the scale was down 7 lbs.
The scale hasn't moved since!
I am exercising & totally sticking to the liquids calendar from Dr. Miranda.
WHAT THE HECK??? ANY ADVICE??? This is so frustrating!!!

Great news! So glad to hear you are doing well!
How was your Disney trip?
I am down 7 lbs from my surgery day, which was the day after you! I feel great now~ I think I need to start exercising now.

Hey there:
I was there April 6-9th and my surgery went great. TJ was totally safe for me. We even went shopping in the downtown 2x & had no problems. Honestly, the first 2 days after surgery was pretty easy for me, day 3 was a bit rough~ but started to get better on day 4 and by day 6 I was back to work~ I was tired but by day 7 after surgery I was great! I felt myself again.
The liquid diet is tough the 1st week but by the 2nd week it's not too bad. Once you see the numbers going down on the scale it is sooooo worth it!
GOOD LUCK!!!

That is so good to know! I have always been really large chested even when I weighed 130 in high school and was very fit, I was a "C+" I hope mine go down because you don't even want to know what size I am now...Let's just say HUGE!!!
Hopefully after this week...my life will change! Yipeeeeee...

My husband Greg is being banded on April 6th also. I can't go, but my mom will be with him. Greg is a very SOCIAL person, so I am sure he would like to meet all of you.
Congratulations on your upcoming surgery! I was banded in November and I am very pleased with the weight I have lost. It has not been easy, but so worth it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Kimberly
KIM... Why has it not been easy? I would love to hear what is ahead of us!

I am starting to get nervous!!! My friend that had her surgery in February said that I should be prepared for surgery on the day of my pre-op (which is on April 6th) because she said that often they will do it the same day!!!
So... I may be joining you Todd, Leanne & Jazz! YIKES...
HOW ARE YOU DOING WITH THE PRE-OP Diet? I am struggling!!!
-
Todd & Leanne:
I will be there bright & early on the 6th to do my pre-op so I am sure we will meet! How exciting... My friend just had this done 6 weeks ago & is very happy with her results! I can't wait!!!

HELLO!
I just scheduled my surgery for April 7th... wondering if anyone else is having their lap band placed that day???
-
(((((((((((((((Angie))))))))))))))))
You are so sweet to ask. I was scheduled for surgery last week in Marin County (California). My doctor was San Francisco based. I walked into the OR, woke up with the tube still down my throat. They told me they "saved my life". My right eye was swollen shut. I went home looking like Rocky Balboa.
I was so disapointed. Friday I saw an allergist who said it would be 6 weeks before he could test me on what caused the reaction but he had a likely suspect. I then called my doctor and gave his nurse a message the news. He didn't call me back but his nurse confirmed he'd be willing to give me a full refund.
Then I chatted with DanS on Facebook about the OCC and I called them. I spoke with the resp. doctor at the OCC and not only did he confirm what the allergist said, he told me exactly how we'll avoid the problem when I have the operation at the OCC.
I sent the OCC my deposit today and my surgery is scheduled for 5/22. My allergist will see me around 5/1 and he'll test me for the meds plus the OCC additions.
I am very pleased. I wish my doctor had done more to put me at ease. It took me awhile to get over how backwards it must look to cancel a surgery with a SF surgeon and have an operation out of the country but it feels right.
just wish I didn't have to wait so long, but it's better to be safe.
HELLO!
I am new to this Forum...just made an appt today to get banned in 2 weeks! ROBBYNNOEL... I am just North of you, in Santa Rosa! I read your info...scary situation you went through... that is one of my fears, having some type of complication in Mexico.
Any PRE-OP diet info anyone can give would be great.... Thanks!
