Hi all of you AZ Bandsters!! I am new to this Forum. I live in Peoria and have been considering having the Lap Band surgery. I spoke with Dr. Ortiz on the phone last week and he is extremely nice and knowledgable. My boss had Lap Band surgery a year ago by a Dr. in Phoenix and has lost 95 lbs to date! Yeah. I am inspired! As I read all of your posts, especially those getting ready for surgery I feel your nervousness! I am nervous just trying to make this decision in my life. I need to lose 50 lbs and my BMI is 31.5. I guess I am most afraid of failing! Yikes...however everyone here seems to be really glad they made this life changing choice.
