  1. When I was banded Feb. 09 I weighed 238 and wore a size 20. I am now 157 and wear a size 8 pants and med. top. I am actually looking forward to buying a swimsuit this year.
  2. Congrats, best wishes and prayers for a easy pregnancy.
  3. WOW!! You look awesome. Can't wait until I get there. I am looking forward to buying a new swimsuit this year.
  4. I went to the grocery store with my 13 year old daughter yesterday afternoon. I sent her off to get something. So I get a call on my cell phone from her wanting to know where I am. I tell on the bread aisle. She says she doesn't see me. I turn around and there she is. So she tells me, "I didn't know it was you, you're so skinny". Love It!!!
  5. 160.0 today. I was down to 158 but had to get a small unfill because I was waaay too tight. Hopefully next week I will be back to 158.
  6. Just wanted to say, if really don't need a fill then don't get one. I just spent two miserable weeks before I conceded and got an unfill. I too just wanted to tweak the band when I should have paid better attention to my diet and exercise. Like you my hubby was opposed to the fill and I suffered two weeks with reflux, unable to eat or drink, because I didn't want to admit he had been right. So as much as it kills me to say this, listen to your husband.
  7. I got a fill two weeks ago yesterday. Big mistake. I was just borderline on needing one and instead of buckling down and paying more attention to my food intake and exercise, I got a fill. I spent two weeks of limited food and liquid intake. Acid reflux at night. It was miserable. I had .4 put in and yesterday they took out .35. I feel so much better. My lessons learned: (1)Don't take the easy way out. put more effort into watching what you eat and exercising more. (2)If you think you are too tight (water gives you indigestion) get an unfill quickly. I have been banded for 13 months and this is the first problem I have had. I will be much more dilligent in the future.
  8. Well it's officially been one year today. I have lost 75lbs. I couldn't be happier and would do it again tomorrow. I have gone from a tight size 20 to a size 10 pants and med. top. My goal for this year is to tone up and be really healthy. I am currently at 163 lbs and would like to lose another 20-25. Good luck to everyone. I haven't posted here that much but I have been reading daily since before I had my surgery. Thanks for all the support and advice.
  9. Getting the LapBand is the greatest gift I've ever received.

  10. Love living in BandLand!

  11. I forgot to post yesterday. This morning I was 165!!! That was my goal for Christmas. Merry Christmas to me!!!!
  12. Angie, sorry to hear about the gain. Maybe it's water. So many party foods are really high in salt. Last week 170, this morning 168.8. Leaving for a ski trip on the 27th. Would really like to be 165. I'm not stressing though. Have a great week everyone.
  13. I made the week and only weighed yesterday. Last week I was 171 and Wed. morning I was 170. I'm lookin the 160's in the eye. It was really hard not to step on that scale all week, and I too weighed more than once yesterday. No one said we couldn't do that, lol. Good luck this week.
  14. This will be the best gift you can give yourself. I was banded in Feb. 09. I remember thinking how hard the pre and post diet was going to be. I can hardly even remember it now. I have lost 68 lbs. My back and knees don't hurt anymore. I just feel better in general and my hubby loves the new me. I still want to lose another 20-30 lbs, but what a difference already. I was banded in NE Texas and had a wonderful experience. I only took a 1/2 dose of pain medicine twice and was back to normal in a few days. Best advice. As soon as you get in the recovery room and they give you permission START WALKING! Walk walk walk. It helps with the gas pain better than anything else. Good Luck!
  15. That is exactly my morning routine. I resisted today even thought I REALLY wanted to get on the scale. Stay Strong everyone. Just 6 more days!
