  1. I have completely lost my bum! Any ideas for toning and lifting the booty back up. Not so much into plastic surgery for this. Thanks in advance
  2. I'd like to hear from more bandsters who are 2yrs or more out. Like to know what the future with the band may hold!
  3. I'm at goal and have been for a month. Dr. Miranda told me to just leave my fill where it is. I was continuing to loose, so I just upped the calories a little to maintain. I have had episodes of being too tight, most recently on vacation where I got a little stressed from travel, family time etc. During the tight times I just try to stick to soup and soft things that I know woln't be a problem, drink maalox as needed and not worry too much. Hope that helps. I wouldn't get an unfill unless your symptoms persist for a week or more or you can't keep liquids or really soft stuff down.
  4. I had this same experience. I kept the fill, but in retrospect I wish I had upped my protien (maybe even liquid) and took 2 Centrum Chewables per day. I eventually had .8cc taken out because over time I got tighter and tighter with a lot of heartburn. I am at goal now but lost a lot of hair and some muscle mass. Hope that helps.
  5. It could be your gallbladder, or some strange referred pain from gastric reflux. I would avoid fatty foods, and it you get it again try drinking some Maalox. Hope that helps. There is nothing worse than pain that wakes you up at night.
  6. I'm 50 years old, and have lost 63lbs since being banded in November. I am 7lbs from goal. You can do it! Age and working with your band are all a state of mind. Sometimes it is difficult to be mentally satisfied with the small amount of food that your stomach can hold. But in reality the 2nd bite of something doesn't taste any better than the 1st. So be happpy and loose the weight!
  7. I have used Dr. Berger for all of my fills so far, and have been very pleased. All fills are done under fluro. at TASC (outpatient surgical center attached to Flagstaff Medical Center). The nurse there told me that he does MANY Mexican band patients. The cost is $250 for TASC and you will have to pay when you get there. I'm not exactly sure if there is a bill from Berger also? He uses a local anesthetic at the port site before the fill. It feels like a little pinch, but the fill itself is painless. The last fill I had was with the PA, and he wasn't as slick, but it went just fine. I don't know how many fills Berger has done, but I was very satisfied with the whole thing. As much as I would love to return to the OCC for follow up, it just isn't possible now due to time off work, expense for travel, and just plain inconvenient. I would recommend him without reservation. Hope that helps.
