  1. Ok RevyD, I thought I was doing good with my 4 miles. You have inspired me to try to add one more! Thanks, I think!?! heheheh Great job, everyone....we are on our way!
  2. It nature to be nervous. We have all been there and we are all here for you now. I agree with SandyHotBox, it has been one of the best things I have ever done for myself. Keep asking questions, we're here for you!

  3. Hey girl, that is awesome! I added a note to the existing post, hopefully to make things clearer. If you could, log in your miles on the "team" ticker above and let me know if it works ok. If it's still not clear, please let me know and I'll work on it some more...still not sure! Thank you for joining in, I think it will be fun to have some walking buddies!
  4. Walked 4 miles this morning....I am so NOT a morning person. Lord give me strength!
  5. Calling all walkers and runners. I have a challenge for you...As a team, can we walk/run 1000 miles? Wonder how long it will take us? All you need to do is log in your mileage on this ticker. Pin: occforum We might even surprise ourselves and double the challenge. Who's in? Don't forget to post your mileage individually so we can encourage/brag/or even do a little good natured trash talking, as well. NOTE: Hey guys, I'm not sure I posted this clearly...I'll try again. The ticker above is for all of us to use, the pin/password is for you to log in with. Just click on the ticker and it will take you to the edit ticker page where you will enter the pin/password: occforum and add in you miles (just like you would with your own personal weight ticker). No need to add another one to your personal signature.
  6. Cool, I will definitely check that out. Thanks, girl!
  7. It sounds like you found a great after care doctor. I'm glad to see your doing well. Thanks for sharing the vitamin info., always wondering what others may be doing. Did she mention calcium? You are on your way...Congrats! Tell Dad to take the plunge...hehehe!

  9. It has only been 4 months since I got banded, but I can still do steak. All I want to know is when is the cook-off, you made my mouth water as I read your post. The more fills you get, the more restriction you get. You may be one that is doesn't bother. Only time will tell. Enjoy-Now!
  10. I too, love the photo's. I do not have a problem with them slowing down my system, but sure that it could. When I first started coming to this site, the pic's where a big part of why I liked coming back. Seeing everyone's progress was very encouraging. I understand the pics are to go in the gallery, but I do like them on the signatures....its nice to see who your chatting with.
  11. Baahaaahaa, I love it. I can understand why we're not suppose to cross them, but man... that felt good.

  16. Ok, this may seem a little....silly. It's the small things in life that carry's us through sometimes. Well, I sitting in church with my legs crossed and all of a sudden....I realized that...my legs were crossed. WoW, it's been a long time since I've been able to do that comfortably. I started to grin to myself and my friend was looking at me like I had lost my mind. After the service I shared with her my secret. Bahahahahaha, nothing like two middle aged women doing the happy dance at church. Just had to share. Can anyone relate?
  17. Ok, now that you two have made my mouth water....your right. I now by more veggies and fruit. Turkey burgers have replace beef, tomato pie is a must and I think I've turned into a camel...water, water, water!!! Cracker Barrel's kids plate grilled chicken tenders and green beans have replaced fast food...anything! Walking is now for exercise and not to just get me in the house to find my chair. I am loving my new life!
  18. I don't think you can, but that is a great question. It will be interesting to get some feedback on this one. Sorry, I'm not much help.
  19. Thanks Mandyfsc and bogiemon for the advise. I think your both right. I have been at this weight before and I'm sure my body is saying...Hey this is good. NOT! I'll try changing up my food and workouts for a few weeks and see what happens. Thanks, I'll keep you posted. AngieB....you are a HOOT!
  20. The clinic has computers and phone lines that are free calls to the US. Sorry, don't know about the Lucerna, stayed at the Marriott. OCC should be able to answer that question, if you don't get an answer here.
  21. Good Morning Gang, reporting in on Fridays....down 3lbs in 2 weeks (the same 3lbs - up and down, up and down) Any suggestions how to get over this plateau. Thanks!
  22. Hey ladies, would any of you who have a Nike sensor like to start logging in your mileage. It might be fun to see how many miles we walk/run all together. I have a feeling it would blow our minds. If you don't have one they are about $20. My son and I both have one and are constantly trying to out do the other. Of course, I'm old, over weight and he's 14 and healthy as a horse, but a great motivator none the less. Let me know and we'll start logging in our miles.
  23. That would just be way to cruel....Bread & Chocolate! Hehehehe!
  24. Your right, I need to do that. I think it might even surprise me.

  25. Any time girl. It was a pleasure to talk with you! I see your on Pre-op....you go girl. You Can Do It!!
