  1. Hi Debbie! Just wanted to let you know that we found that recipe and tried it. It was delicious! We even added some mushrooms to it and was so good! Thanks a lot! I can see why you have it for breakfast each morning ;) KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!

  2. Thanks Angie!!! :) I might have gained a pound or two after tonight but I'm going to continue on dieting today and on..since well it is almost 1:00 am here!! :D

  3. Hi Sabrina! Your before weight sounds like my mom. She is having this done on Spring Break in March 2010. She is wondering when you were able to eat breakfast (after the 21 days)..kind of what did you eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner? Did you keep a journal?? You look great!!!! MERRY CHRISTMAS and have a HAPPY NEW YEAR! :)

  4. No pain though so I am really happy!!! I should be able to eat fully by tomorrow :D

  5. Hey!! Thanks for asking! Well, I have not had any really pain. The doc prescribed me 3 different medicines so I have been feeling pretty good. I messed up today by using a straw. I am so used to that! I must quit that anyway because I won't be able to with the lap band. But, it made the sides of my mouth blue now...but it's looking better!

  6. You can do this my friend!!! I have faith in you! Just keep your head up high! You might want to try beef broth! Add a little lime juice to it and it is pretty darn good! I'm already practicing eating that liquid stuff! Just a tip! Hang in there!!
  7. Hi! I can't thank you enough for everything that I see, you always post so great encouragement things to everyone!!! And, I love all of the tips you've posted!! Thank you Thank you Thank you! Hope you have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!! :)

  8. I am glad it is getting better. Yes, it will take time to adjust. I have been reading some posts that people take regular soup and just drain and drain it again to make sure it is just the soup and no vegetables or anything. I think that'll count as a clear liquid?? In that way, you wont have to have broth 24/7! Hope you heal quickly! :)

  9. Thank you!! Up and ready to go! I hope that I dont have any pain like my dad and sister. They had the same oral surgeon as the one I'm going to so I hope I hope I hope I dont have much pain!! lol Good luck with your pre-op! I've lost 9 pounds so far on pre-op. I am trying my best to be good!!

  10. Hey!! How are you feeling??

  11. But Im counting down the days until surgery day to be banded!!

  12. HAHAHA Your status reminds me of JUST how I'm feeling...although tomorrow I will be getting my wisdom teeth out!!! But I will be good to go after that :D I hope I dont have much pain!!

  13. Bogiesmom, Thanks so much for posting this!! It will come in handy for me! You've been a life saver!!
  14. I haven't had my band yet so I don't know exactly what all to help you with but there are so many posts in this forum and so many people (including myself) that are here to support you! You can do it! I know you can! :)

  15. I know that you can do whatever you put your mind to it. Exercise 7 days a week! No matter if it is just 15 minutes. Something is better than nothing at all. Exercise is the key to success as well as drinking water. They say that if you drink while you are eating, it makes the food go down faster and you don't feel as full. So, try as much as you can to not drink while you eat your meal.

  16. She has been one of my inspirations on here. I am glad that you have found this forum as a place to gain support. We are all here to support each other. I am excited about being banded in January and without this support through the forum, I wouldn't exactly know what to expect. There are so many good recipes and all sorts of stuff on here to help you.

  17. Hi Allison! Thanks for adding me on here and thanks for your comment on my wall. I just read your message up there. There is a lady under my friends list named "Revy" something. You should read about her. She has lost 85 pounds and she was banded in September. If you ask her, she is more than willing to tell you what she has been doing.

  18. Well, I am having my surgery done on January 11th so as someone else on the forum said "Thin in 2010". I don't know how my progress on losing weight will be until I've had the surgery and such but I'm hoping to lose at least 50 pounds by August of this coming year. Another one of my goals is make sure I always exercise once a day because excercise is the key to success! I have been struggling with my weight for all of my life so finally I am doing something for myself and my health!
  19. My dad and I are getting it done in January and my mom and sister are getting it done on March 22nd. So, we are flying with them to have our check up and possible fill while they have their surgery!

  20. Just private messaged you!

  21. I'm going back to the OCC on March 22nd for the check up appointment and a possible fill. Are you going to be coming back to the OCC for your checkups and fills? I decided that I'd pay the price to fly back there and go where they actually do the x-ray compared to here. Plus, it is more expensive here to pay for fills.

  22. Yesss! Let's stay connected! I will private message you my email addresses if you want to send emails instead! However you want to stay in contact! We will get to experience the same stages...you are right! It is sad we will just miss each other! But, I already have a date for my check up.

  23. Congratulations Steph!! Keep us posted on your progress!!
  24. Yes, I have cut out all sodas, pastas, and bread. I am only drinking water. I try to do the two shakes and one lean cuisine meal a day. Sometimes it is hard especially during this time of the year. I went Christmas shopping on Friday and it was difficult because we went out of town. So when I went out to eat, I had a delicious grilled chicken pecan salad. Even though those pecans and ranch dressing weren't the best, it was better than what I would have normally ate. I can't believe I'm losing as much as I am because I thought that during the holidays it would be harder and also because I'm out of college for Christmas break right now so I am not doing something constantly to keep me busy!! You keep up the great work as well!! I love when people post before and after pictures!! PS: I have "before" pictures but they are not so nice haha so I will eventually post them when I have some "after" pictures to show
  25. And yes, I agree with you. I love this forum. The support from everyone is incredible. I love being able to read all of the tips and such from everyone. I know I can come back here and ask questions if I need help!
