  1. The Couch-to-5K ® Running Plan

    http://www.coolrunning.com/engine/2/2_3/181.shtml

I wanted share this great plan I started doing. When I started running I couldn't even run for a minute. I would get on the treadmill and just do what I could but never really improve. Then I started doing this plan that starts slowly bumping you up to run better and better, like taking baby steps. I can run for over 3 minutes now continuously. I am just so excited about it that I had to share with the banditas. It has taken me about 2 weeks for every week on the plan to actually compelte the runs, but I am for the first time making progress in my running ever.

If you are interested, there is also this site where you can download the podcasts to tell you when to start running and when to stop.

  2. I think it is normal to not to have restriction after your first fill. I just got my 2nd fill and there was a huge difference. I had only lost and kept off 5 pounds from surgery and I started with a low BMI, too. I wouldn't give up yet - you still need to adjust the band to fit you before it starts working. Schedule your 2nd fill.

  3. BrownEyedGirl,

Of course I don't mind. I can see my scars, but like I said I used and love my Vitamin E oil.

Maderma didn't do anything for me when I tried it in 2004 so I have stuck to the E oil.

    Hugs,

    Kristi

What time frame are we talking about? How long did it take you to reduce the scarring with Vitamin E oil? How long did you use Merderma? How long should you try something before you know it is working or not?

  4. I wore comfy clothes there, only to have to take them off and put on the gown for the surgery. So it doesn't matter what you wear there. I would bring the comfy clothes for when you change to go home. Also, they told me I could have tiny pills and gel caps were okay. If the pill was too big, they said to just chop it in half and everything would be fine. :)

  5. So my husband and I are back home from being banded at the OCC. My husband couldn't wait to get on the scale - he has lost eight pounds and an inch off his waist! I have lost 2.5 pounds, which I am very happy about. That tells you how much we must have been eating before surgery! Everything went great. Still a little sore at the port but much better. Great to be a guy, huh?
