Hello, I am a 20-something single girl living in Charlotte, NC. I had my Lap Band surgery with Dr Ortiz on January 15th, 2010 and haven't looked back since! I've been heavy all my life and don't even know what it would be like to be thin. I moved to Charlotte about 2 years ago from Boca Raton, Florida. I gained 30 lbs over the past 2 years when I moved to Charlotte. I had always toyed with the idea of WLS but this recent weight gain really pushed me over the edge. I recently found a local fill doctor in Concord, NC and had my 1st fill 03/16/10.

No one, not family or my closest friends know about this surgery. So I really rely on you guys for my mental support and motivation. All of my friends are thin and I just don't think they would understand. And I really think my family would just think I could do it on my own. So you guys are my Lap Band family and I am so thankful for you!
