  1. So frustrated, haven't lost any weight since June 2011... I'm a little over half way to goal, but still have a ways to go!! Anyone else have this problem and overcome it??

      I have the same, I believe changing things will help. I'm hoping, I lost 2 lbs finally last week.

  2. i had my surgery 3 months ago and i am down 40lbs but recently i have lost the motovation and have gainned 5 poulds what should i do..?

      whenever I start slipping I spend extra time on the forums, and I start religiously tracking my food, like on fitday.com Plus I start doing protein recipes from world according to eggface.

      Get a group, online, or some type of support, even Over Eaters anonymous- change your work out or change your food, try something- try watching the you tube blogs- You can do this, it's hard but you can do this.

  5. About 8 weeks into post-op and down 12lbs down from pre-op weight

  6. ok after 6 week stall I've lost 6 lbs in 2 weeks. down 56 total now.

  7. Every morning when I wake up "and sometimes in the middle of the night) my stomach is burning (like acid reflux) and growling like crazy! does this happen to anyone else?

      Hi, when were you banded? I definitely had that in the beginning, the banding hell phase. but maybe you need an bit of an unfill if you are having acid reflux, that's a big sign of needing some taken out.

  8. Thanksgiving..and the first as a banded person..ideas, recipes anyone?

      mine too, I"m making a crustless low cal/ fat pumpkin pie, and getting some fat free real whip cream in the can. found the recipe googling low cal pumpkin pie.

      I figure 4 oz roast turkey, 1/2 cup salad, 1/4 cup stuffing - and my 121 cal pie - Oh plus a healthy protien filled breakfast of 250 cals.

  9. I stopped taking my vitamins bcz I din't like the taste when I crush them..when will I be able ro swallo a hole pill???

      I love the liquid and chewables, always hated pills. but I bet at least 6 weeks after surgery you can take whole pills. or even ealier if you cut them in half,

      I'm pretty good, ready for my first fill, hope it makes things a bit easier. haloween, and my lack of control has resulted in a couple extra pounds.

  13. I can buy boots that fit my calves..and regular size trouser socks!! never thought to be soo excited about something like that!

  16. Headed home tomorrow after being here a week. Wish I was feeling 100%, but I think I'm still a few days away from that.

  17. Looked at my reflection in the mirror and didn't know who I was looking at! Great feeling.

  18. Wondering if I'll get some relief from being hungry when I get my first fill. I am eating a third of what I used to eat and pretty hungry all the time. I am just following the instructions they gave me at OCC. Will it get better on the first fill or will I have to wait for a few fills before I get some relief?

  19. Just spoke to Dr So at the OCC and we determined that I still am not in need of my first fill. I think I was going to use it as an excuse to not make myself behave. Glad I talked to him.

  21. Finally onederland....2nd fill but don't feel like its working like its supposed to...feel restriction and eating 1/3 of whaat I did before but thought the weight would come off faster...

      oh also, depending where you started, as you get smaller, and 1 lb is a bigger % of your total weight this will slow down. for like my size, started at 298, I've heard the first 50 comes pretty easy, second 50 a bit slower, and that last 50 can be a bear and really takes longer.

      I think that 1-2 pounds per week is very typeical and what you should expect. If you lose more then 3 lbs in a week I have heard that it's impossible to lose more then 3 per week of fat, so it's coming from muscle. This should be averaged out also, you won't lose every day,

  23. Thanks for the positive comments and well wishes I'm back resting at the Marriott. I won't lie, I feel wiped! Like I had something major done. No doubt about it. Have met lots of other nice patients (& their support people) since I got down here. A very comforting surprize. I'm planning on feeling much better tomorrow!

      hey girl, wow, you are already back at the hotel, they got better pain killers there at occ ;-) how are you feeling probably sleeping now. how long are you there, did you say a week. wow. I'll be thinking about you. this will be boring, and then you won't even remember in a week. ha ha. so far since op I"ve lost 7 lbs, now on solids, it's difficult after all that time to not pig out, but at least I don't feel like fainting all the time.
