  5. Hi guys, so I added a couple tablespoons of couscous last night and instead of chicken or fish I had 4 oz of tofu. I like meat but I don't like it everyday. I've been waiting to hear from Miranda about this, but so far she hasn't replied in 2 days. Have you guys emailed with her? I'm just wondering how long she usually takes to reply. I also ate 2 small pieces of watermellon. It's funny that this doesn't seem like much of a cheat compared to the rest of my life but because it's not on the list I feel bad. I've been using the online food tracker on my fit day.com. It helps me really see how much certain things are in calories or whatever. How are you guys doing? I have these great recipes a person posted on the LapBand forum (not associated with OCC). I'll share them. I haven't tried any yet but I plan too. I really think variety is important and let's face it there isn't much in this #2 diet. Oh and the fiber pills help me too.   6. there's a great book I like called the Instinct Diet- great recipes / plan- although I think it's more food then bandsters can handle. But a great over all guide with recipes, and I think it can be altered for bands. good luck. I'm not banded yet and nervous about this kind of thing. but your loss is great, think of 2 lbs per week as a good average, anything more is gravy.

  8. crazymomma thanks! I will try that too. I am also bringing a little net book that I am hoping to use skype with when I am somewhere with wifi, which I believe the Mariott has. hopefully the OCC also will.
  9. Hi, started my #2 diet yesterday, I get banded on Sept 27, but I'm really afraid I won't lose enough weight so I'm starting early. Let's keep each other on track. I'm hungry too, I tap my forhead, tap tap tap. Someone brought brownies in to work yesterday and I succeeded. Drink water too, it will get better. lets stay in touch, where are you from? I'm in Ohio.

  12. Hi boogies mom, I am new and just curious about how long you have had your band- and what you think would be different if you had a smaller band. I am so curious about this because I haven't been banded so I have no idea. No judgments. besides not getting the band you requested what are the things you don't like about your band. Lisa
  13. err I mean .67 lbs per day, a lot more than 2 lbs per week.
  14. I'm not banded yet but 60+ in 3 months- man- from what I"ve read on hundreds of forums, I've prepared myself for a slow steady 2 lbs per week. Lots of people seem to do that. Also that is a health speed. Lastly for me a steady 2lbs average per week over 2 years is something that is undoable for me unbanded. So please pat yourself on the back, in fact jump for joy, you are losing like 1 lb a day, you are awesome.

  17. wow don't mean to jump in but this was really great to read, I'm getting banded next month and it's so helpful to see these type of post op comments. from what I've read on other forums that initial slow weight loss is normal and don't stress it. and many seem to report like 2lbs per week on average- it's all success really. You guys are great and inspirational.
